Bro....future proof ashole vague term.....I guess a gtx 560 or a radeon 6950 should be good to go for the next 3 yrs or so.....& about if those are gen 3, they still should be backwards compatible with gen 2....altho there might b bottleneck...nt sure abt that tho.

560 from a 550Ti, not a huge upgrade tbh, you might want to wait a bit for Kepler if you are looking for a good upgrade. And the PCIe 3.0 cards are backward compatible, i.e., will work on PCIe 2.0/1.1 slots, and the difference between them would be negligible.

Well u will be able to take hd sapphire 6850 vapor x edition within that price.Although 560 will be lil bit faster that 6850but most cases they r almost identical.But if u r ok with ecs brand then buy the it.But keep in mind that ecs is using the stock cooling design provided by nvidia,thats why price is lil bit low.And other brands r using their own designed cooler to provide better thermal condition

Depends on which card you're gonna buy. If it's a GTX560/560Ti/any low TDP 6xx series card, it'd be okay.
