I would only think such case..IF the arc has a ancient Android OS..loaded with buggy Apps.. & lots of homescreens running at the same time.. The Quadrant Score of my device is of CyanogenMOD 7.2..any Arc even with CM7.1 is far better than mine.. but an arc with stock 2.2 would be a hell lot slower or buggy..isn't it ? look at the quadrant chart..they have mostly the old Android OS listed..mostly <2.1.. that matters dude..

Yes that I agree. But your account of the lag/smoothness of the phone has nothing to do with Quadrant scores. As I said I can get better than any SE Arc/HTC Sensation or any equivalent* phone with my X10, but those phones will be faster than mine even if they score below me.

yes..Not only Quadrant scores Define how fast an Android runs.. Unlike many other OS..Android Smoothness depends on many factors from my Experience..

    1. CPU Performance
    2. The Launcher you are using (The Launcher may have a nice interface but bugs too)
    3. The A2SD Script/Method your Custom ROM is using (as Android phones lack Internal Storage, Many ROMS move the internal applications to the SD Card.. Thus the Performance doesn't only Depend on the CPU/RAM/GPU you have got..But also the SD card performance)
    4. The RAM Script (Android Default RAM Management system doesn't work for me, I Love the CM RAM Management system more.. Though Every Android Runs at top notch if rebooted atleast once in every 3 days)

These are the factors I have faced by myself.. my S2E script + Medroid 7.1 Works Flawslessly..not only Giving a high Quadrant score but also Ensuring a high performance.. That is why I have also attached an Antutu Benchmark.. which describes your smartphone more elaborately..See the Screenshot..My Nexus Ones has a lead only because of a High CPU-Integer Performance..

I have the smoothest Feeling I can get with my smartphone..& I am happy too..

lol, I won't even try anymore. I made kernels for my X10, when SE released the source. Made tweaks/experimented a lot with kernels. As I'm not a base developer, my kernels were not meant to be used by "users". I know how to make scripts, not only "copy pasting" them. The N1 and X10 is a lot similar in terms of hardware, but both the phones have a night and day difference when it comes to dev support.

The CPU plays a key part in the smoothness department. As for Gingerbread no Android uses it's GPU to natively run the graphical interface which is possible with ICS and onwards. What I was just pointing out that, if I can make my X10 score a lot higher than these device, would it make it faster than the higher end devices?

Anyways I don't like to point fingers, and continue baffling this anymore.

Sorry dude, I won't post anymore. Nice screen you got there. Btw I heard the ICS beta source is released from SE, did you try it yet? Oh, and for the record- I'm not bragging at all, I was just pointing out that "it's for bragging rights"

Dude..Have I ever told you my device is better than any other Device ? I Just told you I feel a better experience than the Stock one.. I am not comparing with your X10i..Obviously I can get higher score on X10i with Quadrant too..That would be a fool's thing to assume, x10i is better than Sensation/Arc lineup, just because of Quadrant score!
