Lightbulb Using the PS3 controller (and/or others) on the PC for games as well as general purpose (USB cable needed)

    Hey guys,

I made an accidental discovery while scouring the web for using my 360 controller on the PC; a way to use the PS3 controller instead as both peripheral and gaming device.

Download and install the software from this site:
    http://www.motioninjoy.com/

    Installation guide in full: http://www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/install/latest

During the installation, be sure to have your controller connected to the PC; you'll have to provide permissions while it performs driver installations for the controller.

BTW, the application by default requires internet access. To enable the local interface, download the local UI pack at http://www.hardcoreware.net/how-to-p...ndows-7-vista/ (includes guide for 64-bit installation).

Hope it's useful, and let me know how you've used your controller on the PC.

    Cheers

It's nothing new. We're already aware of this software. FYI, I've used two PS3 controllers at the same time using that software for playing BLUR.

I thought so too; still, a repost can't hurt. BTW, I found the thread that mentioned the software:

The easy method is found here: [out of date on version of motioninjoy]

You can even use PS3 controllers in wireless mode for PC,
But you will need Bluetooth for that,

This one's a bit complicated though and I never tired it so I can't say whether it actually works.
