Back in January, a fleeting rumor about a possible Steam competitor from Amazon was posted here straight from the rumor mill. Now before it's materialization took place it looks like we have another competition on the horizon. This time from Chinese video game giant, Tencent.

ugeEX posted a series of tweets about the matter.

According to him the marketplace will not be bounded to China only where they already have supposed 200 million users but will be global.

Tencent, founded in 1998 is the owner of MOBA giant League of Legends developer Riot Games and Supercell Oy of massively popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. It is said to be the world's fourth-largest internet company by revenue. So undoubtedly Tencent is not a light hitter.
