been using 2.1 altek lancing since 2009. It just pleases my ears.
go for a decent 2:1, or increase your budget to 25000 for a decent 5:1

It did cost me 4.5k. No idea about current pricing though.

You can buy creative T6XXX with in 7k. I'm using T6060, bought it in 2008 with 6.5k. Sound quality is not that bad if you compare with other 4-5k range 2.1 speakers. For gaming and HD movie watching 5.1 channel is another level than 2.1 channel. But if you're into music than buy a good 2.1 channel speaker.

For gaming and movie you should buy 5.1 speakers. Sorry I can't help you with the pricing and availability. Try ryans website and go to IDB, i'm sure you will find T series creative 5.1 with in 7k. Good luck.
then go for creative 5.1. Go to market for available models. Price range should be around 7k-8k.

quality better than those other Microlab,Creative 2:1's ..but home theater jonne nile go for any other Altec or Creative 5:1 speakers
I think built in cards are enough for these. If want decent sound quality, then you'll need a better sound card AND a better speaker as well.
About model no, I really can't help about that. Go to market, roam around, do some research. You'll become wise enough to give advise to others.
Sad.ryans website e 5.1 speaker ektai asi.9.4k. Creative z506.but the same speaker is only 6k in usa

Logitech Z5500 price 38k
