Default Intel Ivy Bridge-EP Xeon with 10 Cores/20 Threads, 30MB L3 Cache Spotted

Two Intel Ivy Bridge-EP Xeon engineering samples have been spotted, One of which features a monstrous 10 Cores and 20 Threads along with a L3 Cache of 30MB!

Both models were spotted over at Coolaler.com, The 10 Core model features a 2.8Ghz Stock frequency, 30Mb’s of L3 Cache and a 22nm Design being based on the Ivy Bridge architecture. The 10 Core was even put to test in a few benchmarks which are posted at the end. The second chip is also based on the 22nm Ivy Bridge architecture featuring 8Cores/16 Threads, 20MB L3 Cache, Stock frequency is 3.3Ghz and Turbo Boost’s upto 3.6Ghz.

The processors were tested on a LGA2011 Socket motherboard since they’re backwards compatible with the socket and X79 chipset as detailed here. TDP of the processors would be slightly lesser at 95-130W then the Sandy Bridge-EP parts which are 150W designs. Sandy Bridge-EP itself is expected to launch at Cebit 2012.

Benchmark results of the 10 Core chip at stock frequency below:

    • WPrime 1024M – 158.585 seconds
    • SuperPi 1M Calculations – 08.830 seconds
    • Fritz Chess Benchmark – 20054 Kilonodes/s
    • CPU Mark – 625 Score

Ivy Bridge-EP is expected to launch in Q4 2012, Another 10 Core variant with a 95W TDP can be seen here.

Seriously, adding the source link isn't mandatory. Its kinda waste of time too to add a link cause I am damn sure at the end of the day, nobody click the source link to see whether the post is written by a Jewish or a Muslim. And we all know that the posts of this News section and Tech News section is given from other site. If anyone desperately needs to see who write that, feel free to copy the post and put it on this site. You will get the answer within 30 seconds I promise.

    Well,that's not the point.

The whole thing is a copy-paste.So what's the harm in just copying the source wasting 2 seconds of your time?

    Heck,even copy-pasting is piracy -_-

That's not the point. You copy-paste an article without mentioning the source anywhere in the article, you're infringing copyright. If it were my article, I would write a letter to the server Banglagamer is hosted on and sue them, were there no action on their parts.

Unfortunately, not many people in our country are even aware of what DMCA is. Putting a source link allows us to state that we were using it fairly. Blatantly copying it like we do now is effectively what @Kevepeter mentioned and if anyone wants, they can indeed sue us.

We'd rather not deal with the hassle and give credit where it's due, is all I'm trying to say.

Nope. You two missed the point. You guys probably missing the thread where salmanshah and winty had a big fight. Winty keep closing the threads which salmanshah is posting. See I posted a news which isn't closed yet-
    http://banglagamer.com/showthread.ph...eep-study-says

Its all about massive personal EGO.

And beside in other countries nobody gives a damn about 3rd world country's website. They know there are millions of forums which meant to be only for that country. So they will not do whatever that DMCA rule says. That's one benefit of living in a pirated country.

Then you have a massive task waiting in the future. You have to edit all the threads and add the source link cause I ain't gonna add the source either in every place.

Can you stop being stupid? Thanks.

Why I'm doing this has already been mentioned multiple times and your repeat attempts at stating 'ego' isn't helping. Nobody gives a damn about a 3rd world country's site?

Do you know that we've had to remove links to Windows 7 ddls thanks to dmca once before already? Probably not. In any case, I'll talk with CvP about getting this rule incorporated, reasons are clearly stated as to why it's needed.

If you're bitter, welp, that's your problem.

Nope, what's past is past. I don't plan to touch anything older, just newer stuff.

And why you didn't close my thread?

Then they'll be handled according to the rules then, if you're feeling adventourous, that's your problem.

And because we talked with CvP and he told me to wait for now, nothing else. But if you're in it for the sole reason of pissing me off, I suggest you stop.

Bro wasting(!) a little time (5-10 secs) on adding the source ain't gonna kill anyone now will it? I think everyone should add the sources to give the credits where its due. Without the sources anything you write u treat it like your own work and thats not fare!!!!....
