    Default 4g in bangladesh

Well,it sounds rediculous whereas 3g is not yet at our footstep,to think of 4g may seem daydream. But if our tech minister Mr.Rajhuddin Ahmed is true to his words,we will be getting 4g in december of the current year.In a press conference yesterday,he said,"bangladesh is going to be connectd with 3g network in april, and within a very short time, probably in december,we'll be switching to 4g"

Wimax is pretty much considered as '4G'. HTC EVO 4G and some other ones have it.

It can be, you just need phone's that support it. And technically, 4G is Wimax, and we already have that running (Blion, Qubee). We just don't have it on mobile phones yet.

Actually, there are no accepted 4G technologies yet. WiMAX and Current LTE etc. are evolved 3G, you can tell them 3.5G. IMT-Advanced compliant versions of LTE and WiMAX are under development and called "LTE Advanced" and "WirelessMAN-Advanced" respectively, and they are being considered as the candidates of the 4G name. The requirements to get the technology officially dubbed 4G is to provide maximum 100 Mbit/Sec in mobile applications and 1 Gbit/Sec in stationary applications. So, If our tech minister doesn't invent one himself, it will be a pipe dream.

Not even close, I know people with 10+ mbit/s all for the sake of downloading games for organizations like npp/itnext.

Our friendly neigborhood @salmanshah has 10mbit/s, international bandwidth too.

no the speed wont be like LTE or WIMAX speeds like outside countries bcoz we cant supply that much speed within Bangladesh territory (both cost & logistics by BTCL is an issue though the latter is the major problem) although our submarine cable has the necessary bandwidth (as far as i know it has 10 Gbps bandwidth)
