    Default AmberIT any good?

    Hi!

Is AmberIT any good? They are claiming to provide real IP with 2.5mbps connection at 1.2K per month. If you are a user, please provide feedback. Thanks!

    Using for 3 months.
    Advantages:
    1. Consistent speed.
    2. Rare disconnections, maybe once a month max.
    3. You can get 60-70 ping on Singapore servers. (important for gamers)
    4. Reliable customer support. Theres a 24/7 hotline.

    Disadvantages:
    1. AmberIT's FTP is not updated at all. You have to use common ftp sites.

Do they provide BDIX? If so, what is the maximum speed they allow for BDIX?

Found an alternative, what about Triangle Service? They seemed to have a better package. 3 mbps at 1.3K + 100 mbps on BDIX and 15 mbps on YouTube. Packages: http://triangleservicesltd.com/?p=27

usually mbps mean megabit/ so you have to divide by 8. So it should be 384 killobytes per second

Using AmberIT since Oct-2015 and its the best for a real gamer i think. Using STANDARD package, location-Dhanmondi area.

Have been usingg both AmberIT and Triangle for the last 1 year.

AmberIT is really good with their consistent bandwidth and uptime(95%), triangle on the other hand has good browsing experience and uptime (80-90%), but their YouTube cache server is not very good for my case, well in your case it might be good, as it depends on your viewing habit.

@coldfire7, i have been using amberit with standard (night double) package. but never got the full 10 Mbps speed on any server or BD torrent server. do you have any idea why, is it because of the package. your package and my package almost cast the same. i might change the package to gold if it helps.

Maybe it's your package or your router or an issue on the ISP's side (overloaded area), could be a lot of things. Try connecting your PC directly to the ONU and run Speedtest or download a torrent with lots of seeders (make sure ports are forwarded properly).

I'm also using AmberIT, and for the past week or so I've been having the same problem, but much worse. Nowadays I don't get any BDIX speeds whatsoever. My connection speed is 3.5 mbps, and that's what I get on torrentbd downloads as well. I called them up 3-4 times so far, hoping that a different customer care guy would actually understand the issue, but no luck -__-
I also tried connecting PC directly to the ONU device as you mentioned, but I get no connection at all if I do that. Maybe it is a problem on the ISP side due to overloaded area, but the customer care dumbos can't confirm that either :/

They use MAC filtering, you need to clone your Router's MAC address in your PC.

As ur BDIX seems uncapped why isnt it going above 100Mbps, is the the ONU a 100Mbps unit or ur LAN is at 100Mbps?

my router is the bottleneck of my home network and yes dhakacom's ONU is some cheap non-brand chinese 100Mbits unit.
