Microsoft Mice!!!
This probably isn't the right thread to post this on, but does anyone around here have any of the legendary microsoft mice(i.e, the wmo, imo 1.1 or the ime 3.0) lying around or up for sale or anything?
I just wanna check out first hand what is/was so great about them to give them the legendary status!
Nothing legendary tecknology wise about them. People are just nostalgic about them that's all. A mouse that just works outta box, that's it. Can't lay a candle to modern engineered gaming mice.Originally Posted by MusharratC

MS mouses are highly praised because of their build quality and the accompanying software which is very stable and behave very consistently.

That's correct, and back then their office mice had "gaming" level performance. Stable polling rates, minimum deceleration and filtering.
I wouldn't expect anything amazing if they announced new releases. Other companies have surpassed MS quality and offer way more than what's needed.
Just sharing, i have not used any better mouse than Logitech G602. Better than Bloody, better than Adder, Better than Sensei, dont know about Chaos Spectrum.
If you need wireless than the G900 is in a league of it's own and so is it's price. I used it for a month or so, the mouse performed great, couldn't tell a difference between wired and wireless performance but I sold it off because it was too heavy.
That's why I wanted to try out the MS mice. Especially the IME 3.0 looks really comfy. rn my bloody v3 is sorta dying and I'm waiting on a g403 and a naos 7000. Not really into wireless mice though since good ones are quite expensive and mostly heavy.
@minitt bhai, If u ever find a cheap IME 3.0 in some yard sale or anything can u please let me know and get that?!
G900 is just so genuinely good. battery life is insane. my only gripe is that surface is a bit on slippery side.

It was a no fuss, driverless, used a gaming grade sensor back then and had a good shape: 3.0(Adder-ish shape), 1.1(XAI/Sensei-ish shape), the Razer/SS mice kind of developed those shapes from the MS mice.
By 2017 standards, these are ancient. 125Hz, 400DPI, you get way better mice for a cheap price if you have decided on a shape.

Not enough people to buy them. Hardly anyone cares about mice in Bangladesh for niche products like these to get a good enough market.

i am not sure what you are talking about... maybe you are talking about pre historic (i mean those pentium 3 PCs) microsoft mice. i dont know and care. but in case you are talking about razer microsoft intelli or ss microsoft intelli... i think you can find those 2nd hand at low price, and microsoft intelli is awesome, one of the best gaming mice ever existed. i dont know where can you get microsoft intelli first hand in BD (unless you import it through fb groups), in case you know then tell me please. intelli mouse er problem ektai, haat betha hoye jay, thats the only reason i never had an intelli, but other than that it's arguably the best mouse for fps.

I was talking about them intellis man! Saw some on ebay for around 20$ - 25$ that claim to be original but idk how far to trust them. The low dpi isn't really much of a problem imo.
Also, I reckon the bloody v3 isn't that bad a mouse. It has a PixArt 3305 iirc which is an okay sensor and the shape is good imo. I also removed the weight inside.Never really used the macros on mine though. Bought it second hand anyway.

Mionix is crap and isn't really that much better than Razer if at all. Startech is bringing Razer products at official prices and with warranty, that's a bigger win for consumers than one-off Mionix sales.

That's the next logical step for gaming mice. We already have the G403 Wireless at a decent price and hopefully more will follow.
In terms of sensors, the 3360 works perfectly on both hard and cloth surfaces and I doubt we'll see major changes from here on.
