Default Laptop Suggestions within 1 Lakh

I'm going to be start university this year and I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering. So I'm looking for a new laptop.

    Budget - Within 1 lakh

Purpose - University/education stuff, Internet browsing, Coding, Media etc. I do not really intend to play games on my laptop.
Form - 2 in 1 or normal, no preference.
    Size - 13' or 15'.

A relative is going to Singapore soon and I can get the laptop from there or buy it locally from somewhere like Computer Mania. Can you guys please advice which would be the better option, buying from here or Singapore? and If Computer Mania BD would be a reliable place to purchase from.
I kind of want to buy locally because I get a 1 year warranty and I can buy the product by my own hand. But I'm open to suggestions.

    So in short,
    1. Which laptop should I buy?
    2. Should I buy it from Singapore or locally, particularly Computer Mania BD. Also, how are prices during the computer fair in January?

    Thanks in advance guys.

If you look hard enough, you can find laptops with 5 years warranty in BD.

I am hardly a laptop expert, but my suggestion would be...buy a core i3 laptop, and spend the rest on a desktop for heavy workload...

    Macbook Air: http://www.startech.com.bd/apple-macbook-air-mmgg2za-a
    Otherwise ASUS B8430UA: http://www.startech.com.bd/asus-b843...ice&order=DESC

Or else search for MACBOOK PRO 2015 Retina Edition at Singapore. Maybe you can get the entry level model within 1.10 lakh

In that case, 50-70k er modhe bhalo ki hobe? Could you give me some advise? I might spend the rest on a powerful computer.

Also Startech reliable hobe? 5 years boltese pore jhamela korbe na toh?

Also, will I find any good deals in the laptop fair this December? I've never been in one, so not really sure.

Tbh I don't really want a Mac, I'm not really comfortable with that environment. I've heard bad things about ASUS laptops, especially the keyboard breaking down often. Is there any truth to that? Is startech good with the 5 year warranty? pore jhamela korbe na or anything?
Also any other alternatives that you might suggest?
Surface pro 4 for 1 lakh kemon hobe? with type cover, 128 gb SSD, 4 gb Ram, i5.
    I saw a Specter x360 for 1.15 too. i7, 8 gb, 256 gb SSD.
    Inspiron gula kemon also?

Also could I find better deals in the laptop fair this December?

Get macbook air if u donot intend to play games. Also i5 air will be suffice if u donot have hdl language class and i donot think any bd university actually has it.

macbook are great for coding and eclipse( popular java ide) for mac is miles better than eclipse in windows. Also macs come with git pre installed and the command line interface is great. U can then virtual box or boot camp windows for c++ or other programs( if your college uses visual studio)

also if u have other apple devices the synchronizing among devices are great. I can type sms on my air instead of on my phone which then use my phone network to transfer it.

You are the first person I heard who don't want MAC . There is nothing wrong with ASUS laps. Never heard any rumors like that. Maybe it happens with the particular model, don't know though.
5years warranty!! is that necessary? My HP i3 laptop is running still fine for 5+years.
About Jhamela(English jani na ) it depends on employee & company policy. If they are willing to help its customer then they will repair it within warranty policy.

Surface Pro; don't know. Haven't seen it yet.

Dell Inspiron 3*** series are entry level.
    During Laptop Fair get

does the laptop come through globalbd? does globalbd even provide 5 years warranty???
They gave me 5 years warranty on my PSU, so I think it isn't impossible. But my suggestion would be to verify with globalbd first.

    Acer Aspire F5-573G (6th i5+8GB+1080p+2TB+940MX+Backlit Keyboard) with a NVMe SSD like Intel 600p 256GB @ 8.5K

I'm kind of considering getting something on a bit more budget and spending the more on my computer. Could you give me more suggestions within 60-80k range?
It would be really appreciated. Thanks

macbook are great for coding and eclipse( popular java ide) for mac is miles better than eclipse in windows. Also macs come with git pre installed and the command line interface is great. U can then virtual box or boot camp windows for c++ or other programs( if your college uses visual studio)

also if u have other apple devices the synchronizing among devices are great. I can type sms on my air instead of on my phone which then use my phone network to transfer it.
im just not comfortable with macs tbh. Also would you have any good suggestions in the 60-80k range?

Also I'm considering a Ideapad y710s for about 72k. i5 256 GB SSD, 4 GB RAM. Would that be a good choice, or are there any better options in that price range?
