aaaaaaaahhh guys...chk it again its GK104 which is the low end GPU

To sum it up 10% slower than 7970 in 3DMark11 and 10% faster in BF3. Over clocks itself which will result in higher minimum FPS.

Not bad for a low end Kepler.
The higher ends GK107 due out in April and the GK110 in May......

Oh fanboy, if it were a GTX 650 or something then it could've been called as a low end GPU, the GTX 680 is supposed to be the direct competitor for the HD 7970, and whatever comes later, aren't supposed to compete but are meant to surpass the current gen GPUs, and if that's the case then I can also bet that the AMD HD 8XXX will trail only by a small margin compared to the GTX 7XX or might even surpass it!

680 is supposed to be the high end unless they decided to change the naming scheme. I don't get the point of auto-overclock. Probably just a marketing scheme for 3D load clocks.

the new kepler series roadmap with price estimations.....the GK110 is going to be the high end chip while Nvidia is rumoured to tug in GTX685/GTX690(DUAL-GPU) in the highend lineup....while the still mystery GK112 which is supposed to be the uber high end chip is supposed to launch in Q4 even early 2013 is in the cards...

the naming scheme is still kinda cramped up....

GeForce GTX 580 to Get Price-Cuts
To pave the way for the GeForce GTX 680, which will arrive later this month in small but sizable quantities, with wide availability in the months to come, NVIDIA is cutting the prices of its GeForce GTX 580 graphics card. The GF110-based behemoth of 2011, will now start at 339.8 EUR, according to European price-aggregators such as Geizhals.at. The new price makes GeForce GTX 580 1.5 GB cheaper than the Radeon HD 7950, and having a slightly improved price-performance ratio. The 3 GB variants of GeForce GTX 580 are priced similar to the HD 7950. The GTX 570 starts at 249 EUR.

    Thats about 450USD and 330USD.

If thats real then I'm not really impressed actually. 10-30% difference, would've liked to see at least 20% in all cases. Power consumption looks good though. I'll wait for more reviews before I formulate an opinion.

that's a 256bit renamed GK104 mid-range 670ti doing the job....and the results are proof why Nvidia didn't want to release the 384bit GK110 real MONSTER to take out 7970........i cannot imagine what GK110 will be when its released.......

NVIDIA's New AA Algo is TXAA, Adaptive V-Sync and New 3DVision Surround Detailed
With Kepler architecture, NVIDIA has three new star technologies that will help it with this round: TXAA, a new anti-aliasing algorithm that offers image quality comparable to 16X MSAA, with the performance-penalty of 2X MSAA (if not less); Adaptive V-Sync which is sure to win gamers by the millions; and a redesigned display logic that supports up to four displays from a single GPU.

TXAA, which we talked about a little earlier, turns out to be a super-efficient temporal anti-aliasing algorithm. It has two levels: TXAA(1), and TXAA2. TXAA1 provides the image quality comparable to 16X MSAA, with the performance-penalty of 2X MSAA; while TXAA2 offers image quality higher than 16X MSAA (unlike anything you've seen), with the performance-penalty of 4X MSAA. Since few games natively support it, you will be able to enable it through the NVIDIA Control Panel, in the application profiles, provided you have a Kepler architecture GPU.

    More pictures follow.
Adaptive V-Sync is a smart frame-rate limiter that fluidly adjusts frame-rate when heavy 3D scenes drop frame-rate below monitor refresh-rate and above it. When frame-rate is lower than monitor refresh-rate, lag occurs, and overclocking attempts to overcome it. When frame-rate is higher than monitor refresh-rate, page-tearing occurs, and the normal functionality of V-Sync takes over. Adaptive V-Sync makes these transitions "organic".

Then there's the new 3D Vision Surround, bolstered by a redesigned display logic, which addresses the two-display limitation of NVIDIA GPUs. You can now connect as many as four monitors to a GeForce Kepler GPU, enabling 3-monitor HD 3D Vision Surround setups. You no longer need more than one GeForce GPU to connect more than two monitors. The new 3D Vision Surround is said to work in conjunction with Adaptive V-Sync to ensure the center display has higher frame-rate (since it's at the focus of your central vision), at the expense of the frame-rates of the two side displays (since they're mostly at your peripheral vision). This ensures there's a balanced, high-performance experience with multi-monitor gaming setups.

    ---------- Post added at 12:03 ---------- Previous post was at 12:01 ----------

¤¤¤¤ I hope TXAA isn't only exclusive to Kepler only

Now that auto-OC makes sense, with Smart VSync it only activates when the frame rate is below 60.

NVidia GTX 680 available for pre-order in Europe

Kepler, the much awaited new graphics engine from nVidia, looks to be close to launch. We have posted reports about many unconfirmed rumors from the green corner, with NVidia notably quiet about the yet to be released cards. The first offering, GTX 680, looks to be very close to release, with at least two European retailers listing it for pre-order.

Comcom.nl had listed the Zotac GTX 680 with a pre-tax price of €426.20, making it €507.18 with taxes. The page now says they are out of stock - although whether that's because they have sold all their pre-allocated models or because they pulled the listing is not known.

The same card, listed as Zotac GTX680 2GB DDR5 256 bit 1006 6008HDCP Dual DVI HDMI DP, is also available frommaxict.nl, for €508.50. The listing show that the GPU clock will be 1006 MHz, and the memory clock will be an effective 6008 MHz. The Zotac offering will have two dual-link DVI connectors, an HDMI and a DisplayPort connector. The listing says the cards will be available in 1-2 weeks.

The card supposedly reached a retailer, there are pictures floating around of a Gigabyte GTX680, with the new "GeForce" logo and the usual Gigabyte box art. We are going to see benches soon(non sample cards!), and the price is somewhat similar to 7970.

yeah seen some benchmarks on OCN from the guy that posted this stuff
running on i3,32bit OS,4GB ram, immature driver...still manages to surpass 7970 (well liiiiitle bit) or even say toe to toe
i cant imagine Kepler's GK104(mid-range) part did this thing....GK110 is the one i'll keep an eye on
cant wait to jump on Kepler bandwagon...but it won't be early

as been hinted from the very beginning.......a mid range kepler (GK104) in this case would be enough to beat down HD7970 and this has been done

    NVIDIA WINS !!
