    Thumbs up OC recommendation?

    Hello,
This my first build, and here are the parts:
    i5 6600k + Seidon 120V PLUS
    MSI Z170A GAMING M7
    NZXT Lexa S.

    No GPU yet.

How much should I overclock my processor to?
Will I be able to reach 4.6 ghz with stable temps ?
Let me know what you think.

The overclock you can gain on an unlocked CPU depends mostly on your luck than anything else. And it's got a lot to do with trial and error. The basics are to increase the multiplier at stock voltage and see if it's stable, if not bump up the vcore, then increase the multiplier again by a notch, and see if it's stable, rinse and repeat. Around about 4.5 GHz is the sweet spot. Remember to keep an eye on the temperatures as well. A 100 MHz OC for a 10 degree increase of the thermal envelope is not desirable.
