That ERROR brings back so many old memories. Most of the times it's a software problem. Check if the resolution and refresh rates are correct in the games' settings. For example, on a "1920x1080 60Hz" monitor, setting "1920x1080 75Hz"/"2560x1440 60Hz" could give this error. If you specify your monitor's brand and model, it would help.

Right click on Mafia 3 .exe file and select Create Shortcut. Right click on the shortcut and click Properties. In the Target line, add "-windowed" at the end.

It should look like something like this Z:\Games\Mafia 3\Mafia 3.exe -windowed.

Run the game using the shortcut, change the resolution ingame then exit out. Delete the shortcut, the game should run fine from there.

Welcome to PC gaming, troubleshooting is a must.

Edit: I'm using made up names btw, the exe file probably uses a different name.

This is not a monitor issue. But if you still have confusion about the monitor, you can come to our service center, located at taltola, Mirpur. We will check it with other games and verify if it is a monitor issue. If we find it is actually a monitor issue, we will replace it another monitor.

Try this, right click on the exe file, properties, compatibility, Run in 640x480 resolution. If the game turns on, change the resolution in game.

And Vanguard is correct, this is not a monitor issue.
