My old friend Tt TR2-420 (literally) blew a capacitor so I'm without a working computer right now. I need to get my PC working again as soon as possible, and I need some suggestions on what PSU to buy. Budget is around 8k and flexible in both direction. I also want to upgrade my GPU later this year so I'm not sure what wattage should I get.
For GPU I'd probably go with a 1060 or RX480, or maybe a 1070/2xRX480. I think a 650w unit would be able to handle any pascal or polaris in single GPU setup even under overclock. But not sure about RX480 in cross-fire.
I have an offer from a friend for an used Tt ToughpowerXT 675w for 6k if I can wait 1 week. Should I take it or should I look somewhere else? Seasonic S12II and M12II only comes in 620w and I have a gut feeling that I should get at least 650w to be future proof. Does anyone have any opinion on the Tt Toughpower Gold 650w or Toughpower DPS G 650w? I do like the monitoring option in the DPS G and also I'm not sure if I can wait 1 week for my friend's offer.
