Post 3DMark Time Spy DX12 benchmark

    https://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphi...te-Performance

It doesn't seem it it's fully utilized DX12, somehow async here doesn't show much performance compared to DOOM. I hope they get this patched up but took them long enough to release a DX12 benchmark, now all we need is DX12 FPS monitor from FRAPs

I kinda liked the benchmark... instead of going heavy dx12/async like amd sponsored games hitman/ashes/doom it went to that moderately. but i think we need a heavy dx12 version of 3dm timespy bench .... like firestrike ultra dx11

Doom is an OpenGL game, what do we know about AMD and OpenGL?

Don't expect similar boosts for all Vulkan titles.

    Looks normal.

AMD has had poor performance in OpenGL for ages, which is why Vulkan gives such big % improvements in Doom. I wouldn't expect similar % differences between DX12 and Vulkan, unless parts of Vulkan is catered enough to suit GCN.

From what I read, that has been happening too.

That wasn't my whole point, thing is DX12 is suppose to make AMD GPUs work better by fixing CPU overhead issues, control GPU render time faster and use of Async. This benchmark seems to use ACE on lower level, not as much as Ashes is doing. Look at the page you gave, both 480 and 390X is is close to beating GTX 980 Ti. That's not what I saw there

So, in DX12, The Fury X is equal to a Titan X?

Begs the question, why the GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X is not in the picture?

    Async Shader benchmarks:
correct me if i am wrong...

fact 1. hitman/ashes/buggy quantum break this dx12 games have no amd 'proprietary' features, only dx12 features/ async compute.

fact 2. a benchmark software can't detect full dx12 compatibility unless its a 'heavy' benchmark.

I don't possess enough knowledge on this to answer your questions, I am afraid.
