    Default windows re-license question

so after changing mobo from rma, my windows 10 is unlicensed now, so how do i re-license my windows 10 on the same brand of motherboard -z170p- but not the same physical motherboard?

i got the windows 7 first, installed it in this pc like 2 months ago... then upgraded it to windows 10.

how do i re-license and what do i need to show to microsoft... apart from my windows 7 cdkey?

Google windows phone activation. Find the toll free number and use skype. Probably you wouldn't even have to talk with a real person.

If logging in to your MS account does not work, restart computer and see if it says it's activated. If not, then phone activation.

Win10 activation is saved in the MS account. When I changed MOBOs, I logged in and everything else was taken care of.

Btw, you should be able to activate 10 using your 7 key.

Although you have already solved your problem, just for future reference, you'll have to run "slui 4" from windows run command, select a country and it will give you a phone number to call and an installation ID to use. Some countries have free phone and some doesn't. Usually choosing USA gives a free phone and you can call that with skype.
