Default New Gaming rig - budget 250k

    Hey,
I want a monster gaming rig. Budget for just the PC is 250k. Monitors and other peripherals not included in the budget.Been out of the PC gaming scene due to lack of funds for over 8 years now, but i want back in. As of now, I have no idea about the new tech available, but i know i can get something crazy out of the money i've been saving all this time. So I need suggestions. Preferably a complete build along with details on where i can get those parts. A friend of mine suggested i can manage a triple monitor setup with this budget, I want to know if you guys think thats worth it. TIA.

Triple monitor? like do you want to game 4K or 1080p with multiple monitors ?

You could get a GTX 980 Ti (64K) or Fury X(57K) from UCC

Intel i7 6700K (28K) with Gigabye GA-Z170X Gaming board (18K) from Binary Logic and with Cooler Master Seidon 120V liquid cooler (5K)

    16GB DDR4 3200Mhz with heatsink (8-9K)

    ...for Pascal/Polaris*...

    [*upcoming graphics solutions from Nvidia/AMD]

ok... forget the triple monitor thing. I just need specs on a rig with compatible parts. I was an Nvidia person 10 years ago. I was thinking the new gtx titan or maybe the 980 will do. maybe even sli dual cards if budget allows. I'll import the parts if unavailable here. I need proper motherboard, cpu, psu and ram suggestions. also plan on getting a 500gb ssd as primary drive.

It should be available by July (not sure though but they will be available pretty soon). If rumors are somewhat true, Pascal/Polaris will perform significantly better. And, they will be more optimized for DX12.

Either wait a few months for pasqual/polaris or if you're going to import the stuff now and buy anyways, get dual fury nano's. on 6700K on any mid range motherbaord like Asus Z170-A and AS Rock Extreme 4+

u should really wait for pascal polaris... coming in BD in august i guess... will be released in june

btw just so we are in the same page... as u said u were not playing games in pc for a while... u dont need 3000$ pc for ultra gaming dx12/dx11 60fps 1080p unless the game is arma 3 or ark survival... for most games 1500$ pc is enough for 60fps 1080p ultra/near ultra

even if u want to 4k gaming now... you will still face hard time spending 3000$ for 4k pc wisely... so i still dont recommend above 2000$ pc.

here is some price in BD... i am not suggesting brands

    5820k 32k
    +x99 chipset motherboard ~25k

    ddr4 ram 3200 bus 32gb ~18k or 16gb 10.5k

    ssd 500gb samsung 950 m2 18k... or intel 480g 14k

    hdd 4tb ~11k

casing.... nzxt 7-9k, antec 6k... or maybe more expensive nzxt... or maybe 700$ tt level 10 ? as you have lot of money apparently... but i dont know how u can buy level 10 700$ in BD

    good powersupply 650w ~8k or 750W ~9.5k

    cooler- 9k wataa coola

    980Ti 65k

    188k without monitors/speaker/gaming mouse/pad/kb

maybe u should buy 6770k instead of 5820k.... it will cost less and z170 motherboards are cheaper...

    1. You're in a bad timing to buy a new PC mate. Buy an acailable but year old card or wait for next release that's bound to give you 30~50% performance over same price.
    2. Never SLI/Crossfire. It can give you awesome performance IF Nvidia/AMD give you the profiles.

ok... so... i've been doing some research... it seems this config is pretty damn good..... also sli/crossfire seems like overkill....
I think i'll go for this or sumthing similar..... just have one question.... and i think i sound like a complete noob... but will the x99 motherboard and 5820 cpu be compatible with the new generation pascal 1080ti that will be released next year... incase i decide to trade in my graphics card??

Here's a config for an alternative with Skylake (Skylake should be slightly better in case of gaming)

    Parts Type
    Parts Name
    Price
    Link
    CPU
    Intel Core i7 6700K 28,500/= link
CPU Cooler Cooler Master Nepton 240M 9,500/= link
    Motherboard
    MSI Z170A Gaming M7 22,700/= link
    Memory
    G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 3200 16GB (x2) (32GB) 20,600/= link
    Storage (Boot)
    Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD 256GB 18,000/= link
    Storage (RAID 0)
    Samsung 850 Evo 500GB (x2) (1TB) 31,000/= link
    Video Card
Whatever you can buy within this budget 80,000/=
    Case
    NZXT S340 7,200/= link
    Power Supply
    Thermaltake Toughpower 750W DPS-G 80+ Gold 13,300/= link
    Monitor Asus VX229H 21.5" IPS 14,200/= link
    Keyboard A4Tech Bloody B540 6,500/= link
    Mouse A4Tech Bloody V3 1,600/= link
    Headphone A4Tech Bloody G501 4,000/= link
UPS Power Guard 2000VA 9,500/= link
Case Fans Thermaltake Riing 925/= link

    Total (only PC): 2,30,800/=
    Total (full setup): 2,66,600/=

Case, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Headphones, Case Fans etc. are highly subjective. I am merely suggesting here.

actually non-extreme i7 is faster than extreme i7 in terms of gaming by dint of faster clock rate. intel severely underclocked extreme series i7s to fit them in 140w TDM. and yes anything PCIe will support any motherboard with PCIe.

I did say "Highly Subjective", didn't I? Initially, it had K70, M65, Cloud, Mastercase Pro 5, and Soundblaster Z (the epic black-red combination); and then I realized this setup is too much for me...I was already dreaming...already lost...then I added the "bloody" a4tech to get myself into the realistic world...

I had been 6 years out of gaming once, in the end I got a i5 with 7770...

off topic: post reported for cursing. there is a reason why people don't browse this forum anymore.
u may know inside of some of the tech products but i think i know better benchmarks. even if i am wrong doesnt mean you should tell me to go to hell. caps lock me to death if you can.

also, i already recommended skylake at post number 8.

    on topic:

6770k is better than 5820k in almost(95%) all games. so the extra money for haswell-e may not worth it.

    now,
    1. 6770k is better by about ~5% fps most of the times. while when 5820k stands better in some rare cases... like total war atilla etc... its better by 10% or more.

    2. multiplayer- the benches in the most website is for singleplayer only... in multiplayer 5820k closes the gap, sometime even crosses 6770k.... u know... processor intensive mutliplayer stuff...

2b. multiplayer hosting and stuff.... 5820k is better if op wants to host a server and play with lot of friends... i dont know... maybe he has lotta rich friends like him and he decides to host a Rust/Ark server to play with friends naked?

    3. the price are a factor. yes. but OP has nearly unlimited money according to his budget. and in many places abroad 5820k was about same price or even less expensive than 6770k... at least till january/febru. (edit: i forgot op can only buy from BD).

    4. i admit dx12 6770k will be better in every game.

    5. game streaming... although people uses capture card most of the time, but without capture card 5820k is better.

    6. OP needs to oc 5820k a little to get better performance than stock 6770k in some games... but given that op is a newbie to pc gaming it will be difficult

i7 is ok for now, he can easily overclock this in the near future. Unless you're doing production work, extreme processors are unnecessary considering you have to pay craptons for the mobo. Games are limited to 4 cores or 6 cores nowadays, their performance aren't being completely pushed, if you're talking about MMOs, not even that category also ask OT what he will play before making those suggestions plz. The only game I know might take loads of CPU power is in future Star Citizen

^I can't believe he thinks am swearing with bumhole. are you for real?

Also we have censorships for swear words, I mean come on get real. Even if they change one or two characters it's nothing, again that's not the only reason why people are quitting this forum.

Why? A 5820K is a great CPU and X99s prices are not as high anymore. Previously the biggest deterrent for me was the DDR4 prices. There is still a premium aspect to it, but that's expected if you want the very best components.

Were any of those posts reported and they went unaddressed?

It's not possible for me to moderate as I did before. I was really hoping we would have more moderators but I guess that's not happening. We barely get any activity these days and people prefer using FB.
