Difference between mobile i3 vs i5
More specifically i3-6100U vs i5-6200U
Is there any noticeable difference?
I don't see anything except i5 has turbo boost for upto 0.5GHz extra speed.
I need a laptop for small scale programming and developing work. The heaviest things I might use are Visual Studio and PHPStorm.
Is it worth to spend the extra 5-8k to get the i5?
get i3 one and take SSD with 5k.

i think i noticed performance difference for visual studio 2013/ 2010 or heavy browsing when using 3rd gen lappy core i3 or i5... but thats 3 years ago... now situation might be different. the i3+ssd suggestion looks good. get 15.6 cheap laptop if possible
Until 4th generation turbo boost was upto 1 GHz extra speed. From 5th gen it's 0.5 GHz.
