Skin help
So i don't play csgo almost at all..but did a huge series of unboxings earlier today and just got the best thing possible (M9 bayonet mfade) now can someone please give me some information on where to sell this without getting scammed? could put it up at community market but gaben will tax a huge chunk away + not sure exactly what price to put it at since don't see any listings of it. (it is minimum wear btw)

You could try here. you can do prices checks and ask the mods to be middlemen if you need help.
Thanks. problem is im fairly sure getting lowballed there. and all the sites i look up, the price gap is HUGE! i've seen it being sold for 670$ to even 2100$..so not sure what to do on it at all. at reddit i can around 1200 or slightly more at best.Originally Posted by NahyaN
Well I'm not too sure about knife prices myself. Never held one in CS:GO, but I can tell you to be patient. Unless something apocalyptic happens, the knife prices won't fluctuate at all. Take your time and go through as many posts as possible. There are posts that sell knives only, see what their buyouts are and try to get a feel for how much you want for the knife. Have you made a price check post at GlobaloffensiveTrade? If not, make one and see what people are saying. Dont go for one person's opinion, rather make a good guess of the price of the knife from alot of sources.
how many chroma 2 boxes you opened? i have some cases and trying to figure out if it's worth it to buy keys
Nope, you have to:
1. Extremely lucky to get a good item.
OR
2. You need to open atleast 60-70 boxes to get a decent skin.
If you remember Shockwave from our CSGO community, he opened around 100 boxes and got a M9 bayonet doppler.

i opened 30 in one go. (around 65$) since i bought the keys from a guy at lower price than from valve. the knife alone is worth 1200$ minimum so definitely a huge profit. got hyperbeast (field tested) and monkey business (field tested). everything else was blue worth less than a dollar. so really it isn't worth it. it's kind of like gambling, over 90% of the time you'll lose money unless by some miracle you get a good knife which happened to me. i know people that opened over 100 straight but still got mostly blues

yup did, and put it up for sale now. it's just everyone's offering around 1.2k now since that was the last price this was sold at, but a few months back, it has gone for over 1800 as well, so holding out on it, hopefully i get around 1.5k or so. i have another knife for in game use..but that's preety bad lol

PS: any 'trick' to get good skin when opening cases?
pls i have 2 jobs since i pay for my college on my own instead of parents. but ye lot of steam money now atleast lol and nope no tricks, just pray to GabeN. it's still a huge waste though in my case, i opened 22 cases in a row and got only blues except for the monkey business so basically spent 50$ and got less than 10$ worth of stuff. and most people don't get knives or anything so totally not worth it. if you want a specific skin, just buy it from the market. as for getting a good skin, you could try opening a more expensive case but still nothing is guranteed. im selling the hyperbeast too, getting an AK aqua skin and my awp asiimov and a cheap knife. no other skins

not at all. less than a 1% chance that you'll make a profit or even breakeven.
If you have a particular skin that you really want, just save up money for the skin and buy it from the steam community market. Like OP said, you'll lose much more before you make anything back.
