    Why not x99?

If you're gonna do video editing/rendering or simple/moderate graphics work you'll find x99 much more helpful then spending so much cash on a 980ti which is a gaming GPU.

If you want heavy graphics work done I think you'll need those quadros I don't think gaming GPUs are cut for the job.. Though I'm not sure :S

980 Ti was not suggested by me, but a coworker.
@UzumakiShinji , yes X99's many cores are better for rendering. but cash is available so he'll spend. skylakes are more of a multitasking PC and we'll need that too.. No Quadro pls :3
    @
minitt it's basically for a creative firm. We'll buy 2 such setups. (2 + 2 = 4 Lakh) . Either both skylakes or 1 Skylake one x99. I'll update the main thread. What do you suggest?

if rendering is your thing then look for high vram and also check whether the software you intend to use has driver support from nvidia.

basically you should be looking at the software requirement 1st to set a base line and then opt for more powerful options.

x99 only makes sense if you need extra pcie lanes and 6 core cpu. so again depends on the software that you will be using.

as for ram go for 32GB, pcie SSD, monitor with ips panel if you work with Wide Color Gamut.

You still haven't specified what exactly you need your PC for.

It'll be easier to recommend that way.

    Oka?
80+ Bronze for a workstation setup? Workstation setups tend to use more power since they should use more of their resources. 80+ gold or platinum should have saved a bit of your power bill. However, that is an optional thing. But, why is there only one HDD? I would strongly suggest you to setup RAID 1. You don't want to loose any of the files you have created for some HDD failure. And, I don't know what you will be doing, but 2 SSDs in RAID 0 instead of one really helps while loading big chunk of data.

Gold or platinum jabona due to budget issues. Bill amr overhead er concern .. Will keep your suggestion in mind for RAID.

As for what we'll be doing confusions: A Creative Studio. Not a hardcore rendering studio but AfterEffects, 3ds Max, Cinema4D, etc will be prioritized. Casual creative studio so we'll have 1 setup of Xtreme and 1 Skylake, besides other mid-range desktops.

You should save some decent amount of money if you get the Zotac 980TI Amp! Extreme. Vanguard vai hinted that it's going to be cheaper than the competition. It's currently the best out of the box. So, maybe you will be able to get another HDD within your budget. You should really get the RAID 1 setup at least from Day 1.

As for the software you will be using, make sure they are compatible with Nvidia GPU (most probably they are highly optimized for nvidia, but better safe than sorry).

Also, I would like to suggest MSI X99 KRAIT + MSI Z170A KRAIT (Total maximum 43,000/=) instead of MSI X99 SLI Plus + Asus Maximus VIII Hero (Total Maximum 44,500/=).
