Don't get a destructor, its eats mouse pad like lunch. Get a SteelSeries QcK/QcK+ or even the 9HD. I personally used the destructor & QcK StarCraft & QcK+ Tyloo both are supieriour than the destructor. I would suggest to stay away from hard mats.

It does eat your feet up faster than cloth pad obviously any hard pad does so, but it does offer significant advantages though, you will get higher perfect control speeds using that pad also gliding is faster and its much more durable, you can easily get some teflon tape and tape it over your mouse feet if feet ware is such an issue, the destructor is hands down one of the best gaming pads out there precision wise, and due to the fractal surface coating the lift off distance is also lower than black cloth pads, all these have been tested by myself most recently, Im thinking of getting a scarab or ironclad now

On which mouse, If you used first gen laser mice or optical mice with high LOD you'd see that the destructor has lower LOD and offers better tracking speed, this is a proven fact, for precision the destructor is one of the better mouse pads on the market, but it is an arch nemesis of mouse feet .

Im currently using x7 747H as well on my destructor and I get insane tracking speeds at 900Dpi, I have the dpi custom configured, I prefer the x7 over my deathadder and imperator, although the deathadder track much better and has no prediction or acceleration the x7 is almost as good but with much lower LOD due to the anti vibrate switch which makes this mouse a winner for me !

Imperator has horrible z axis issue. So does all the 3.5G mice, the 4G has less of the z axis issue but its still not fixed !
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!

What Z-Axis issue? Try updating the firmware or something. Cuz I didnt have any of these with my imperator but I will say this, slapping the mouse quickly kind of brings the cursor to the lower right part of the screen in steps.

@eXsTatik , I have personally tested Razer Destructor,Razer Scarab and also currently usinf Ironclad now,so my few notes are :
1.If you are a FPS player with Razer mouses preferebly DA or IMP, and like to drag your mouse very fast over the mouse surface no matter what amount of force it takes,go for a Razer Scarab (Fractal 2.0),but remember,it does damage your mouse feets like hellfire.
2.If you are a FPS player with Razer mouses preferebly DA or IMP, and don't like to drag your mouse very fast over the mouse surface ,rather then a small amount of ankle movement suits you fine, then use a much more speedy surface like Razer Ironclad.

***First example suits best for high sensei/low dpi while using a hardpad.
***Second example suits best for high sensei/high dpi while using a hardpad.

You maybe confused why I said to use the Scarab and Ironclad in two exact opposite situations, well,as the first one goes, your shots will not miss and you will get the exact friction while stopping your mouse and the desired body part while dragging your mouse around the surface.

Secondly, your shots will be much more speedier as you already are a lazy gamer whom barely moves his ankles and while needed you can get the exac amount of excel to shoot that opponent coming right out of that corner!!!

@EviL AnGeL ,Imperators many mouse do face the axis problem but in the 4G edition they have made a cap on it!!!

I've Tested on an Imperator. Maybe diffrent from your Point Of View but from my opinion QcK s are better. About Lift off distance, well there is problem with the adder but it doesn't exist in Mamba/Imperator.

True that, anything hard will still eat your mouse feet very fast. Zulk I wouldn't recommend the IronClad, I would've gotten it myself, but there are some pretty nasty stories of the coating wear off after 2-3weeks of use & it's expensive for a mouse pad. I used the 9HD myself, it's a very fast pad & glides like butter. But I changed to a cloth pad, since it doesn't have that warm feeling you get when you swipe it around when using a slow sensitivity.

Oh & yes, the Z Axis issue is still present with the Imperators/Mamba's, reason why no good CS player ever recommends that mouse.

OP: If you want a better speed pad than the Destructor, try bringing an IceMat v2 if you find one, they are almost extinct! Or try the SteelSeries Experience I-2, it's just a renamed IceMat v2, though I like the IceMat name better. Btw these are glass pads & would glide way faster than any other pad you'll ever find, I'm not sure you'll like that extra speed, since it's almost impossible to stop the mouse once you start swiping very fast.

That moving to the right bottom corner is the Z-Axis issue. Imperators suck if you're a low sensi gamer, lift-off korlei Z-Axis e chole jay. -_- I'm in deep ¤¤¤¤ for this very reason.

Hate to break it to you but the Mamba uses the very same sensor as the Imperator: Philips Twin Eye PLN 2032, don't want to say anything more about it, since you own the mouse yourself.

Only the DeathAdder is flawless in the history of gaming mice other than IMEs. The
Avago ADNS-S3888 installed on the DeathAdder 3.5G/Black Edition & the Avago ADNS-S3868 on the 3G are near perfect. They don't have any tracking issue: be it a cloth/hard pad, no acceleration, no jitter, low LOD (about 1-3mm).

I know they both have the same sensor but maybe its a firmware issue that Mamba has neither Lift Off Distance too high or the Z-Axis Issue. Even there isn't either of the issues over the net about the mamba.

Deathadders dont have low LOD's thats why they are near perfect, but there is a tape mod to bring down the LOD to xai levels . Ime is crap has loads of neg accel, the Ime was famous because it was the only mouse with a high malfunction speed at the time but its perfect control speed is no where near deathadder levels.
Btw ive been testing an x7 for a few days and I have to say Im blown away :\ I reached 75Ips of perfect control and 85ish to reach malfunction.

Cloth pads = You have better control of the mouse as glide feels more natural and also less harm done to the feet
Hard pads (such as SX, Destructor, Iron clad)- MOre precision, smoother glide and much higher sensor precision and lower LOD.

Are you blind, everyone knows that the PTE sucks, Neg accel, Z axis tracking !
Its not a firmware issue but the sensor is bugged itself. all razer laser mice suck. TRUE fact. Im no fan of xai's or senseis either cause of the issues they have and they hit perfect control at 40IPS after that its loads of negative acceleration.
I dont know which sensor the x7 is using but its pretty rad, I showed @error some screenshots of my testing Its nowhere near as good as the adder but still plenty good and gaming with it feels more natural than the dumb¤¤¤¤ imperator !

The reason why I now mainly use the x7 is very low LOD. I just love it on my destructor also I noticed that the mouse didnot seem to have much prediction, there is a bit but its very negligible !

When I used to play css my sensi was .9 at 900 Dpi I dont know many people here that use that low sensi, while gaming I reach a max swipe speed of near 2m/s thats why I need mice and pads which offer high malfunction speed. :\ the lazy statement you should really take it back lol, I run 5km almost everyday and I also go to the gym 6 days a week that said I lost 60Kg in 9 months.
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!

Firmware update er shathe ei Z-Axis issue er kono relation nai. And about the sensi, 1.4 on 800dpi, the z-axis issue is really annoying when your swiping your mouse. :/

I did not bother, if you are playing at a very low sensitivity you'll have problems with a range of different mouse. Sad to say, but the Philips Twin Eye Sensor is garbage compared to other sensors. That is why even after all these years, the DeathAdder is regarded as the perfect gaming mouse. I've a true sensitivity of around 1080, that is 1800CPI x 0.6 sensi (ingame), & I've to swipe the mouse very fast in order to make 360s under tight situations.

Just google Mamba and Z axis, there's even a detailed thread at OCN reviewing the Mamba & it's problems. But if you are used to high sensitivity, you can sometimes get away with acceleration.
