Thread: Facing issues with Intel 6th Gen Build!

Default Facing issues with Intel 6th Gen Build!

I got the following rig just a few months back but recently started facing random restarts and BSODs in Windows 10 Pro. Hence, I opted for a clean reinstall of the OS from USB Flash Drive. Unfortunately, during every attempt, I get a BSOD after the message 'Windows needs to restart to continue'. Upon BSOD, the installation doesn't proceed any further.

Point to be noted is that I downloaded the ISO from Microsoft's site and flashed it via Rufus (NTFS File Format) and installed Windows 10 in other PCs too but facing issue in this PC only. Moreover, sometime before, I would get boot failure once in a while and 2 brand new PowerTree 1200 VA UPSes died in a few weeks when used with this PC.

Unable to diagnose the issue, hence any help would be greatly appreciated.

    SPECS:

    CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K

I am hardly an expert in this but maybe its SSD related?

Try installing your OS in your hard drive and see if it installs or not.

On the error screen press SHIFT+F10 which will open up command prompt window and type "regedit" to launch windows registry editor. Then access,
    hkey_local_machine/system/setup/status/ChildCompletion.

Find setup.exe on the right panel, if its value is 1 change it to 3. Then close the registry editor and command prompt window. Click OK on error dialog box and the computer will restart, hopefully the installation will complete now.
