Default setting up HFS behind ADSL router

I'm currently using the TPlink ADSL router. is it possible to setup HFS from behind the router? ...i had my FTP server running when i HAD BDcom ...now the normal method doesn't seem to work....the IP that HFS detects leads to the router adn not HFS itself....soo....its not working. please help me out through a walk through or something, if its possible. thnx!!!

Forward the port which ur HFS uses. That will make ur HFS Available to WAN.

That's because you're testing from localhost. And if your modem has a webUI port setting, move it ovv port 80. Alternatively, move hfs to another port.

forward port 5555 & move HFS to that port. That should work. I've got 2 HFS Servers running under 1 router.

After making your IP static, were you able to access the internet?

Head over to: portforward.com. Your external IP you see over at Portforward.com should be similar to the one you see in your router setting. If that is not the case, your probably behind a proxy server or two routers. If they match, try to find the port your HFS uses. Once you have found it, simply open that port from your router. This guide should come in handy:

    http://portforward.com/english/route...Server-HFS.htm

    Good luck!
