Thread: A cheap PC under 25000 BDT. Possible?

    Default A cheap PC under 25000 BDT. Possible?

    Iam new here so dont know much about forum rules. If this post is against regulstions feel free to delete it.

    I am trying to build a PC under a budget of 25000 BDT. The cheaper the better. Gaming is optional but not mandatory, and at this price its probably out of the question.

    Can someone post both intel and amd configurations here? Include all hardware, monitor, speaker, keyboard,mouse and so on.

    i think you better buy a cheap lappy so you will get portability.... you wont be able to run AAA game though.

    or you can buy a amd apu.

    for intel-

    g 3225 4th gen... +h81 motherboard = ~9.5k

    ram 8gb ddr3 1600 ~3.3k or 4gb ~1.7k

    1tb hdd 3.8k

    keyboard mouse speaker ~1.5k

    casing value top or deluxe 2k

    power supply- hmm... maybe tt lightpower at 3.3k or 2.7k.... i assume cm thunder is also available at that price.

    dell monitor 19" ~6.7k

    ~29.5k with 8gb ram. way off the budget.

    even for amd apu minimum budget will be approximately same but gaming performance will be little better.

    conclusion- you can't build a pc with monitor under 25k in bangladesh.

    You're here from 2012 so not so new really, and yeah your post is fine.

    Anyways,

    CPU : Intel Pentium G440 Skylake = 5.2k
    MoBo : ASUS H110M-C = 6.8k (go for DDR3 MoBo, for slightly cheaper, but this is better for long run)
    RAM : G.SKILL NT DDR4 4 GB = 2k
    HDD : Toshiba 1 TB = 3.8k
    PSU : [idk much...maybe someone else might help, BUT I'll just say VS450 = 3.5k]
    Case : [Maybe a cheap Space case for around 2k]
    KB+Mouse+Headphone : [Anything very cheap you can find] = ~2k

    TOTAL = ~25k

    Sorry no monitor, but you can't fit it in here new even when you compromise a lot. You could try to get a used cheap 15.6" one would be around 2-4k maybe. You need to look around though. So it brings you down to around 28-29k. Sorry but that's all you can do.

    HOWEVER, you could go for this :

    http://www.startech.com.bd/star-pc-0...rice&order=ASC
    + a Monitor for around 6-7k

    Do note you're only getting 2 GB RAM which MIGHT be limiting nowadays, and a cheap low end PSU. My option above gives more room for upgrades in future though, but for a tight budget, this might be your best option.

    I think Intel's GPU should work well, only issue is it sucks at tessellation. That's something AMD and Nvidia is mostly good at but the games you're going for won't need them anytime soon

    This build is kind of nuts. I would also suggest you to look for 2nd hand setups as minitt vai suggested, more bang for the buck. However, if you are considering a new PC, here's my suggestion.

    CPU: AMD 5150 Athlon APU (link) -> 4,500/=
    Motherboard: MSI AM1M (link) -> 3,100/=
    RAM: Team 4GB DDR3 1600 (link) -> 1,700/=
    PSU: Apoint Tech 400W (link) -> 750/= or, Thermaltake LitePower 350W (link) -> 2,700/=
    Casing: Gigabyte GZ-F3HEB (link) -> 1,500/=
    Monitor: Viewsonic VX2209 21.5" (link) -> 9,800/=
    Speaker: Xtreme E122U (link) -> 2,000/=
    Keyboard: Perfect RX 586 PS/2 (link) -> 300/=
    Mouse: Havit MS689 (link) -> 250/=

    Total: 23,900/= or, 25,850/=

    I thought you were going to use this PC as some kind of HTPC. That's why I added a full HD monitor with remote controlled speakers. Actually, what are you going to use it for?

    I am planning on using it for university tasks and watching movies. Gaming at 720p at the lowest settings is optional but preferrable. If gaming is possible I will attach a 6000bdt gpu an year later. In any case I want the pc to last 3 years.

    If gaming is not possible within this 25000 bdt pc l will go for a cheap laptop instead and drop gaming off my list.

    i insist buying a cheap lappy at 30k... you can get good laptop at that price... or even in 25k you can get 'not bad' laptop.

    but yes, within 37k budget you can get cheap r7 250+ pentium G which will be definitely better in gaming and you can play all the AAA games at low medium at 720p. you can't do that with with laptop.
    you kinda can do that if you buy amd apu but still.... you cant buy an apu gaming machine with monitor under 25k if you buy everything brand new.

    Try to get a 18.5" monitor atleast. And, since you are planning on buying a graphics card, you could try to get a second hand 750Ti.

    I will not buy the graphics card now. If I buy it it would be atleast 1 year later.

    Anyways, can your configuration play any games without any discrete graphics card?

    AAA games are a far cry for this setup. Maybe older games will run but don't expect smoothness at any cost.

    What if I go with other apus like a6 7400k or something similar? The reviews at anandtech show that even without a discrete gpu the apus provide 20 to 25 fps for the latest AAA games.

    Is the A6 7400k available in bd? If so whats the price?
    What other apus are available in Bangladesh?

    - - - Updated - - -

    I dont understand something. I saw gaming pc builds for 150 dollar, 200 dollar and 300 dollars on the internet. 300 dollars is 25000 bdt here. Yet everyone is saying that its impossiblr to get a similar build here in Bangladesh.

    Why is that? Is it because retailers inflate the price and make cheap components unavailable? Or is there anything else to it?

    Why is that? Is it because retailers inflate the price and make cheap components unavailable? Or is there anything else to it?
    this is bangladesh. don't mention the 78tk/dollar here... it makes me furious.
    pc parts cost 97 to 110 tk/dollar here, except for intel processor- 82tk/dollar. there are many reasons behind this...syndicate-price fixing/ taxes/customs/profit/supply-demand etc etc etc.
    also to be fair, its not only about Bangladesh, pc parts are ridiculously expensive in india too. but at least they have uber cheap steam games (off topic).
    this is a problem in many developing countries(non EU).

    at least now you can buy consoles at very cheap price in BD.

    Is the A6 7400k available in bd? If so whats the price?
    What other apus are available in Bangladesh?
    I don't have much experience with APUs. Maybe @Trave160 can help you.

    Whats the price of PS4 now in BD? Games would cost a huge amount over 3 years.

    you can get one brand new for around 25k now. But yeah buying games will cost you a fortune.

    Anyway here's a low-end build i came up with:

    Processor- Intel g3250 --->4,400tk

    Mobo-ASRock H91M--->4,500tk(Has decent connectivity for its price)

    Storage- Toshiba 1tb--->3,700tk

    Ram- Adata DDr3 4gb 1600MHz--->1,800tk

    PSU-Corsair VS450--->3,300tk
    (It sucks but better then getting non branded PSUs. Plus it'll be able to handle low end GPUs)

    Case-Some cheap Cheval case--->1,700tk

    Speaker-Creative SBS 283--->1,000tk

    Monitor-Acer 18.5inch---->6,500tk
    (768p in 2016 is kinda sad but nothing can be done with ths budget )

    Total: 25,900tk (You can skim on the PSU if you want but I'd recommend not to)

    Thanks. Could you do a build with an AMD APU? I thought APUs are better than intel CPUs at the same price range for light gaming.
