    Default Silicon Chip Wafer Fab

Ever wondered what it takes to make and then test a cpu die?

    have a look https://youtu.be/y0WEx0Gwk1E?t=5m52s

and specially look at 21:14 https://youtu.be/y0WEx0Gwk1E?t=21m15s

The round silver test probe is for testing out the die ( this is what decides the pass/fails of a die) and its hand made. "made in USA" 8mm thick, 24 layer PCB and. and there are others heads or probes as well. :/

you may feel uncomfortable the next time you overclock or touch your cpu/gpu die

I have already studied all the courses from Semiconductor Device, VLSI, Fabrication etc and I know there are a lot of things that can go wrong but the good thing is if something go wrong you always have the option to throw it away and buy a new one
