PC Gaming on the uprising, what are you looking forward to??
PC gaming reigns supreme....again??
Console transitions are always good for PC gaming, and the space is in better shape than ever right now. Good gaming rigs are getting cheaper, services like Steam are providing more value than ever, and the breadth of choice for gamers is unsurpassed. Game studios, both large and small (or indie), have an enormous amount of flexibility with the platform and can choose to distribute their games in any number of ways without the interference of a first-party console partner. Publishers can explore boxed retail, digital download, free-to-play, subscription, or cloud options on the PC right now, and we predict that 2012 will see further innovation that will influence the whole game industry.
We're not exactly sticking our necks out on this one, we know. It's already looking like things are going to be awesome. Star Wars: The Old Republic rang in the new year, and we already know we'll see powerhouses like Diablo III, Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Dota 2, and Guild Wars 2 this year. On top of that, there are some great free-to-play games, such as Tribes: Ascension, on the horizon that will change both perceptions and behaviors of that particular model.

Choice 4 - solution = tri platform gaming
I don't need any of this, just need some free time for gaming :`(
Anyway voted 1.
lol Pc gaming cant reign supreme for one reason and that is because of market share, no matter how much pc gaming improves over their console brethren the mainstream bunch of people still believe that consoles are better and some find pc gaming full of hassles (console gaming is now plug and play after all right ?) you also have to think about the fact that more money goes into console gaming as well.
There is one place that PC gaming rules though and that is competitive gaming !
Good point about competitive gameplay, but then again PC games are going mostly digital instead of retail and thanks to steam you can expect good numbers coming up later.
