Right now I'd say no, it's not worth getting a 128 GB SSD, unless you're on a tight budget and your PC is running super slow, you could get one just to make it faster, but for storing stuff it's better to go with at least a 256 GB one. A 128 GB should only be for booting and for applications with most priority if you have a need for speed. Also SSD prices are going down so it's better to go for at least 256 GB nowadays. But for a quick speed boost getting 128GB will be fine.
For the brands SAMSUNG 850 series is currently the best for SATA SSD and is most preferred, but here these ususally go for a higher price compared to others. I don't remember the price for 120 GB one but the 240 is 9-10k. The cheapest you can get is probably the ADATA 120 GB one from OSGS at 4.6k if I'm not wrong, and most others are around 5k (SAMSUNG is probably more expensive though). Although SAMSUNG is most preferred many use Sandisk and Transcend as they are usually cheaper but still great, so you could look into that too if you are on a budget.
I will sell my Transcend SSD370 128GB.
