GTX 650 Ti sells for that. But cards dying is purely luck. That's why you have warranty. Cause covers unconventional death.e.g. luck.
My probable next build: Qisan MagicForce 68 (Outemu switch) / Teamwolf Zhuque+ 87 TKL (Outemu) / Monoprice Select series full size (Outemu/Gateron) / Drevo Gramr 84 TKL (Outemu) • Logitech G102 Prodigy • Deepcool Dukase V3 / Thermaltake Versa U21 • Superlux HD 681 • Creative Sound Blaster E1 • LG 22MP68VQ • SteelSeries QcK • Generic executive chair • others TBA

Any electronic item's survival chance is always 50/50; new or used. But with used item, you don't have the luxury of warranty, hence the cheap price. So ,yes, even if you buy a titan, it has a chance of being faulty.

However, if you really want to buy the card, test it in person and ask for 3 days warranty or something. Most people selling used products actually give some days of personal warranty. If you are lucky, if there is any fault, it will show up within that period of time.

i think you can find 2nd hand 270 or 270x around 10k. please note that 270 270x and 7870 are same. so if you are concerned about build quality of 7870 then you should be concerned about 270 too.

I know tht they r same....but i am more concerned about the usage time of the gpu's in case of 78xx which is more than 2years bt i guess it is possible to find a 270 with warranty also isn't it? :/

And will it be a good idea to go with a 2gig 260x i know it wont be much of an upgrade from my 7770 vapor-x bt all i want is to play all the modern game with sufficient frame rates at medium settings my resolution is 1600x900.....nd maybe later on i want to get a ssd for better performance....

If you want to buy an SSD later on, do your self a favor save your money now and then use the extra money for SSD for a better GFX card. Your priority now should be to get a good card, the SSD can come much later.

You missed the most important point, its from Nvidia.

@Juboraz , if you buy it from someone who is an advanced PC user and maintained his card well, then you have a better chance of buying a good used GPU which will last. I have GPU as old 10 yrs old still running fine. Because I know how to maintained it. I clean my PC regularly, never allow dust to settle. I always monitor GPUs performance logging its temp and power usage. So my GPUs never got abused and hence it never died on me.

Don't buy 260X it you wont feel a thing. Upgrading from HD 7770 to HD 7790 (rebranded as 260X) is worthless.
And SSDs don't effect the FPS in games.
