7 Gamers, 1 CPU - Ultimate Virtualized Gaming Build Log - LinusTechTips
This sheet meks me crie T_T. Wonder how awkward it will be if they end up only playing League of Legends on this machine.
Gotta love Linus.....and his EVGA product placements![]()
watching his videos or almost any other "tech" youtuber's one now is almost the same as watching a full advert. 2min ads at beginning and end of every video.. like seriously i just never watch any even if i do im sure leave a dislike to compensate for the view they're getting from me.
But the problem is all the ones you mentioned also have ongoing ads and every single one of them is biased. they sort of have to since if they do not leave a positive review they probably will not get a free review sample and other free items etc. so far the only youtubers i know of that do not get anything for free are very small ones that aren't important enough but later on if their channel grows they probably will too. so you really need to do your own testing or well just look at tests with proof and disregard their opinion on anything. if someone working in EVGA or working in sapphire etc recommends you a gpu something obviously it'll be 100% biased. only completely neutral parties not affiliated with anything can give a proper one.
Ofcourse they do, but that does compromise their integrity. and certainly both evga and sapphire are good companies no doubt. but there are certain cards on some cases on almost every company that's performing slightly better or same at lower price out there, instead only sponsored one will be shown. for example gigabyte makes great nvidia cards, but the 390 and 390X of their version is bad compared to the others. Asus has worse 390 and 390x compared to it's competition sapphire and MSI. however their r9 fury (non X) is very slightly better than the others. XFX generally worse performance wise than sapphire, but their 380 has better performance etc etc so there isn't any one brand that's perfect, each one is good at the specific product in question so taking a recommendation from someone that is affiliated from a company won't give you a proper one at all since he/she would have something to gain from selling you that one in particular so in no way can it be non biased. the one that is the best for the task, you have to find yourself from seeing all the charts and benchmarks and temps etc. and well small youtubers do, large ones don't. NCIX is a retailer, they can certainly afford it so can newegg tv. and Linus obviously can even without the sponsors, do you really think they need 99% of the stuff they have? 20k$ xeons and 100tb ssd's etc for what "professional work" and what work is it that they do? not 3d architecture or engineering or anything..just making youtube videos lmfao. plenty of other youtubers with a million + subs do their work with 1 or 2 expensive cannon/sony camera a mic and well a laptop or normal pc.
Here's my situation before buying a product. Watch all the reviews, memorize all the benchmark scores, then check for the availability, and buy the cheapest one available.
However, credit where credit is due. LinusTechTips does do some amazing stuff. I don't actually care about the sponsors as long as it's fun. For me, the fun part was almost all the parts on this build actually seemed like a proof of concept; and every single part felt like overpriced piece of tihs.
