where do u live? btw ectlink kamon? i am using bnet for almost 2 years now, i would say they are pretty okay (considering its Khilgaon, not dhanmondi or mirpur). recently i saw ectlink is posting ads, so how are they? any good?Originally Posted by Asif_Z

Well , after using ECTLink for nearly a month , i gotta say , i'm extremely disappointed ..... slow browsing , less than half the speed for streaming videos from anywhere else other than youtube (even youtube doesnt get their 1 MBps speed almost half the time , even after reloading/refreshing the page like 5 or 6 times, and its like 1/10th the speed on twitch.tv ) and of course - the ping rate is between 350-500ms which is absolutely horrible ... (sometimes pings goes as low as 250 ms .. but that's "sometimes" ..currently its 382ms in L.A (supposed to be 260-270), and yeah , i checked multiple places )
In the past 20 days i've called them like 10 times and though they sound sincere in the phone calls , i doubt they do anything at-all .... they asked me to e-mail them screenshots showing my problems and all ,and i did send them a huge well detailed e-mail with screenshots and infos but i doubt that they haven't even checked it yet .... even though i called them that i sent the e-mail ......
And i can't afford to just keep hopping ISPs every month to see which one is good ..... now , they gave me pretty good service for like a week(not good for streaming vids though) during these 20 days so i know that they can give the service that they promised (kinda) but if this slow browsing , high ping thing continues , idk what i can do ... i even cancelled my old ISP from next month so i can't even go back ...
Now i'm giving this update not for " look , ectlink is bad -dont take it " - no , not at all , this is just a heads up .. if you wanna have ectlink - then fine , your choice , i'm not stopping you , i'm just giving my feedback of my experience in case someone Googles and stumbles upon this forum .... like how i found this website !!
