Thread: Drone Flying regulations. Help!

    Default Drone Flying regulations. Help!

I want to buy a drone, possibly the Phantom 3 advanced or similar. I read online that since last December flying of all uav has been banned. Not to mention the incident with the south african cricket team while flying the phantom 2 at Mirpur stadium.

So would a drone get seized in customs if I import it through ebay? Would I even get a permission from a police station or CAAB to fly it since it would be purely for recreational purposes and I live in Bashundhara R/A which is a little more than 2.5km from the airport. Would it cost anything to get a permission cause I can barely manage the 90k for the drone itself.

Fyi I read online that a lot of quadcopters have been seized in luggages at Shah Jalal Airport. For unknown reasons I desperately want to fly a drone. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

    A: NO

A:yes, but u need to take permission from military e.g air force or army.CAAB has no regulation regarding this matter. It doesn't matter where you live.there is a high probability if the rudder detect such object there are strict order to take it down with deadly forces & the person responsible for it is to face serious offenses.

Would it cost anything to get a permission cause I can barely manage the 90k for the drone itself?
A: depends.although for personal reason there shouldn't be any fee involved.but,u never know.this is Bangladesh.anything is possible.

& the information u got is true.but, that was due to the fact that there were very unusual number of drones imported by a fake importer.so,if any individual is importing only single quantity.there shouldn't be any problem with it.

Thanks a lot you two. You guys were very helpful.
One question though @Asif_Z . In the map, at the top is the airport; cantonment in the middle but what is the area marked on the left?
