    Default Quick keyboard suggestion needed.

My trusty old A4tech GameMaster has suddenly started acting weird. Maybe pure lack of Anti-Ghosting in the keyboard let some actual ghosts in . Now I urgently need to buy a new keyboard. Budget is tight, 2,000±500tk for keyboard, or 3,000±500tk if it's a keyboard mouse combo. The mouse will be used for casual office work as I already have a G402 for gaming. The minus (-) in the plus-minus (±) sign has more precedence.

    My requirements are,
    • Crisp tactile keys, at least as much as possible for membranes/plungers.
    • Back-light and anti-ghosting, with back-light having priority over anti-ghosting.
    • Keyboard length less or equal to 47 centimeters.

Please suggest me keyboards that matches the above description. Also, post your opinion about the following ones if you have experience with them.

    • CM Storm Devastator ~3,000 - Combo
    • CM Storm Octane ~3,500 - Combo
    • A4tech Bloody B-120 ~2,500 - Single Keyboard
    • Tt eSPORTS Challenger PRIME ~2,400 - Single Keyboard
    • Tt eSPORTS Commander ~2,500 - Combo

IDK about others but I can only put some input about CM Octane and to some extent CM Devastator.

    1. The keys are tall so in my understanding it takes less pressure or travel distance for actuation.

    2. The keys are shaped like pyramids though not as extreme as you imagine it. Just cause I forgot the exact term So helps people with fat fingers e.g. Me!

    3. Cons I'd say include they take too much real state and look ugly! Thank god my friend (the owner of Octane combo) hides his one under the table

    4. And the main problem is the function type keys e.g. shift, enter and especially the enter key is too small for comfort

I've been using the TT commander for a few months and here's my opinion.

Keyboard: Good travel and quite good feel. Build quality is good too. Pretty awesome anti ghosting too. The keys are quite loud though. The function keys are quite handy.

My main gripe with this KB is the lighting. The lighting is a bit splotchy, especially in bigger keys and the keys just don't look as good as in pictures. It also attracts dust like crazy. Another thing for me was the lack of wrist rest. The KB and keys being quite high the lack of a wrist rest causes pain pretty often, more so because my desk is quite high IMO.

Mouse: The mouse is quite good actually. Look and feels pretty sturdy. The wheel gives a good feedback. The lighting on this one looks pretty nice and the grip is in general quite comfy. The left and right clicks are a bit stiffer than other mice though. And the side buttons feel a bit cheap.

One very nice thing about the combo is both the cables are fully braided. Overall for the price it's a good buy.

Thanks everyone. I'll be getting the Tt eSports Commander combo. Maybe sometimes next week. In the meantime, I did a temporary fix to the current one by doing this:

Hopefully it will be enough to get me through this week. But the problem is, whenever I do this type of temporary fix to anything, they ends up surviving a nuclear fallout or two afterwards.

The GameMaster is an awesome keyboard, I had one before switching to mechanicals. You'll miss the ANSI layout if the new Tt offers something different. Tt keyboards are horrible with layouts, except for the Meka G1 which has a standard layout.

From what I can see from the pictures online, the Tt Commander also uses ANSI layout. So I think there won't be any problem. I slightly prefer the double row enter keys from the ISO layout, but absolutely hate the shortened left shift key that comes with it. And before getting the GameMaster, I had one with an old IBM layout, with ginormous L-shaped enter key and a tiny backspace key. That was the worst.

BTW, I love the tiny gap between the A key and Caps Lock key in this GameMaster, and thankfully Tt Commander seems to have that too.

Got the keyboard today. Everything seems good. Keys are nice and springy, probably a bit too loud for a membrane (actually plunger but it's still technically a membrane), especially when being released. My one single gripe about it the rubberized surface will be hard to keep clean and easy to scratch.

One weird thing I've noticed about the mouse, the red LED on the sensor doesn't dim when I stop moving it or lift it up from the table. Is it supposed to be like that or is mine faulty somehow? @MusharratC could you confirm? Does your mouse do that?

One weird thing I've noticed about the mouse, the red LED on the sensor doesn't dim when I stop moving it or lift it up from the table. Is it supposed to be like that or is mine faulty somehow? @MusharratC could you confirm? Does your mouse do that?

Mine does dim. Probably something faulty with your one. And yes, the kb is very loud and gets dusty like hell!

Sorry, forgot to mention. Mine also started dimming. Maybe I was being impatient at first or wasn't lifting the mouse high enough. Thanks for your reply though.
