Default BEATS Audio Solo by Dr. Dre - Sample in IDB during the fair at Rishit computers 2nd Floor

Before anyone things otherwise just to let everyone know I am not posting here as an advertisement for this HP.

My post is for letting people know that an awesome HP can be tested there. If you havent used a Pro level HP before like me. Pls do yourself an favor and just go there and try it out. I guarantee you. The experience will make the trouble worthwhile.

I know the price is 22k and its out of my reach. But if you can test it. What the heck?

I still can't forget the Beyerdynamics I tried out at @Hemlock 's place. Audiophiles in general tend to have a great dislike of the Beats line...

As big of a joke as Monster's HDMI cable. Oh wait, its from the same company. SURPRISE!
Try 'Lady Gaga Heartbeats' next while you're at it.

But anyway, if you guys really want to explore musical sound, try proper hi-fi cans from Sennheiser,
    Beyerdynamics, AKG, Denon, etc etc.

I guess it is a start in this country, even though a wrong one, and hopefully more shops will start bringing proper cans in the future instead of ¤¤¤¤ products that has been marketed furiously until your eyes bleed from the adverts.

I'd suggest watching this video to know more about 'Beats' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrcF-...ature=youtu.be , you guys will thank me later for saving your money.

just 22k or 179$ is really bad for this.

    $99 is ok i think.

    overpricing kills them.

    22k is $270 not $179.

$99? For these crap? I would be out of mind before shelling out 100 dollars for something that feels this cheap in the first place, let 's not even talk about SQ and how it represents the overall spectrum.

Check out some panasonics which sound just as fun as the beats, built 5x better, and priced 7x lower. What beats and bose make for $150-200, others like JVC and Pana do better for $30.

I have the DT990...oops! I sold it less than a week back. They are amaaazing! Want to try some Ultrasones/Hifiman this time. Among cheap headphones and IEMs, I have some Panasonics, Soundmagic and MEElectronics stuff which are all better than beats.

Nice. Which Panas and Soundmagic have you got? Pana HJ900, which I've got, is a hidden gem and Soundmagic E10 is the best IEM I've heard for 30£!

Nothing extraordinary, just a pair of Panasonic HTF-600 step-monitors and SoundMagic MP21 IEMs. The Pana is umm.....just ok for wat i paid for them and the SoundMagics are absolutely amazing, stunners for 30 quids, would agree to pay more if i have to buy another one.

The HJE900, from as much as i have read about them should be excellent, but sadly they don 't sell for $100 nemore, they are like $250 now. They look like a beast from the construction quality although i wonder how well they stay in your ears from how they look. Should be fine in terms of fit as many are using them and most rate their sound excellent for $100.

Soundmagics are the best for what they cost, i must admit that too. The MP21s are my favourite pair in the house, so much that i often opt to listen from my phone rather than from the PC>receiver>full-size cans setup. They are very forgiving, tremendously fun sounding and makes all my songs enjoyable regardless of the recording and rip-quality. They may not reveal the tiny details and flaws but they were not priced/bought to do so and not doing so they aren 't fatiguing, but perfectly soothing for long sessions of listening. Tons of bass, but it doesn 't totally intrude with the rest of the spectrum and pack a punch while not being bloated/muddled. My only gripe? - the wire being a little stiff and the housing being very light, they do not always like sitting in my ears, i feel they have a tendency to fall if strained slightly by the shirt collar or by some other means, but they do not just plug out for no good reason.

    How are the E10s?

You should try some Soundmagics and denons, and give away that Dr. dre to your lil one, or sell them for a good price.

    How are the E10s?
I don't own the E10, but they were fantastic when I demoed them. Senn cx300 used to be the king of budget IEM, but E10 easily beat it in every field and now it's the new champ. I doubt we will find anything better for 30£. Also E30 seems another great little IEM.

Judging from your review about MP21, they sound like a great pair, but I have a suggestion that you might consider. These are the liveliest, and most fun IEM or audio gear I've ever owned. I didn't have any clue about this pair of IEM, until dfkt (from anythingbutipod.com) sold me a one. He is a personal friend of mine, so I naturally trusted him and his judgment. I regret nothing, I loved them so much that I bought 2 pairs. I am talking about 'Hippo VB' http://anythingbutipod.com/2009/11/c...o-boom-review/ . Since you prefer lively and fun sound IEMs, I think VB would suit you perfectly. They will not punish you for bad rip quality, and they make everything sound lively, no matter what you throw at them, even audio books narrated by Morgan Freeman! Also if you love bass, here is a comparison - http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60833

Well, the HJ900 suffered a sad fate really. The RRP was too high because of the Zirconia material used, so obviously they didn't sell well, also because Panasonic didn't bother marketing them properly like other companies, and hence the project was scrapped long time ago. If I remember correctly, their stock is completely deplenished in the USA, but there were left-over stock left in EU, and I was lucky enough to grab a pair from play.com for 70£ (RRP 300£!) few months ago. Everything about them oozes quality! The cable, the housing, the connectors. You can tell Panasonic went into great deal for every little detail. And I am not sure I can describe the Zirconia material they used, you have to feel them to know them. Though I can assure you, you've have never seen anything like this before, unless of course you fiddle around with jet turbines and diesel engines, because that's where Zirconia is mostly used. I guess I could say the material looks plastic but feels like solid heavy metal when touched.

As for the SQ, I think dfkt said the best 'In general I would compare the HJE900 to the Sennheiser IE8 when it comes to sound signature, but they got various properties of the JVC FX700 as well – not to mention quite a few similarities with my current full-sized closed headphones of choice, the Ultrasone HFI-780. Despite all those phones mentioned being dynamic driver ones, the HJE900 display attack speeds, punch, and dynamic as found in some of the really fancy balanced-armature-equipped IEMs, such as the EarSonics SM3, Phonak Audéo PFE, and the like. The word that describes the Panas for me the best is: snappy. Overall clarity, punch, speed, detail, precision, instrument separation – check, they’re all there. Not only ‘there’, but at the top end of what is available in dynamic driver IEMs nowadays. Those are some really enjoyable, engaging phones. Almost scary they go for only $120 nowadays.' Full review - http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56274

In short, Panasonic/Technics has managed to take a full sized hi-end headphone and turned into a little IEM. It's nothing but sort of amazing how they succeeded.
So when I am in the mood for some fun and bass, I just use my VB, but when I want to strip down a song layer by layer and want to hear every little detail, I use my HJ900 or Senn HD600 with corda2move.

    To @Hemlock and @DevilJIN

I already have a Logitech UE 200vi. They were like 35$ when i bought them.

Compared to UE200/200vi where is the E10?

I have a chance to get one from amazon http://www.amazon.com/SoundMAGIC-Noi.../dp/B005HP3OB0

and how about the Brainwavz M2?

E10 is definitely better than UE200. In fact, I would choose E10 over 200vi or any other IEMS for 30$. I've tried various low end UE's including 200vi and their metro-fi series. They are just average at best and there are better options out there for the same price. Though I have to admit, their ear tips and build quality is better than E10.

Now for M2 vs E10, I've never tried M2 myself, so can't really say much, but I will ask dfkt/Martin to do a comparison, since he owns them both and also did a review of both ( http://anythingbutipod.com/2011/07/brainwavz-m2-review/ and http://anythingbutipod.com/2011/08/s...ic-e10-review/ )
I will have to get back to you later today regarding that.
