Thread: LT+ 3.0 And Truncate Method

Default LT+ 3.0 And Truncate Method

    Hi there,
Recently I got phat arcade Xbox 360's Liteon Drive upgraded to LT+ 3.0. The dashboard is 14699. The problem is when I upgraded to LT+ 2.0 with the dash 13599 the Truncate Method was completely okay.
But with the Kinect dashboard (started actually since 13604) Truncate method is a fail.
    Because:
As soon as the dash silently updated DAE.BIN all the Truncated game disk started to fail in this way:

    *random Open tray-Unsupported disk error.
*Couple of open disk tray and restarting do the job
*If the truncated game is installed on the usb Memory disk the game smoothly shows "Disk Authorized Fail" error after about 2 to 3 to 5 minutes.
As the truncated method writes 97% of the game ISO it seems to cause a lot of pain now.
I thought LT+ 3.0 would solve the matter but it aint. I patched AC: Rev, MW 3, The Run and Arkham City (0800 v3 RIP) with c4eva's universal XGD3 Topology data with XBC (Build 350). Burned it on a verbatim DVD DL using Imageburn 2.5.6 which burned the ISO to its last (Truncate). And all of them start with all those crappy failures.
Now the solution is having a Liteon iHas Burner (124-624, must be rev B) with quality Verbatim disks (although I am hopeful Mitsubishi will do the work as last time I went to SOF they just had Mitsubishis).
The ixtreme burner max upgrades the above mentioned model and I have not seen any single problems on the web with backups that were burned with Burner Max.
As 2012 is knocking on the door with lots of good games what you guys take on this situation? Does anyone in here have this Liteon burner?
Will you continue using Truncate methods (those who download) or buy Playbox edition games? I have not played any Playbox version since LT + 2.0 release.
I am confused should I wait for most recent XGD3 releases with Playbox, or get an iHas burner to play the backup smoothly since truncating is almost killed with latest dash.

Liteon ihas drive is vastly available in market its just a dual layer liteon drive which even i had for the past 1 year but u must check the model number to be exactly iHAS124B, iHAS224B, iHAS324B, iHAS424B, iHAS524B, or iHAS624B. But there is a catch u must flash that liteon drive with LT MAX firmware as well which i already did on hakim bhai's drive.

I know that. It must be Revision B. Would you kindly inform me in which BCS Computer City shop I would find this one at good price?

If you have a "ASUS_DRW-24B3ST" drive then you can cross flash your drive with liteon firmware.I successfully flashed mine and now my drive is ihas124B with LT MAX firmware.

No way! The ASUS can be flashed only because its OEM manufacturer is Liteon, i.e. they are actually the same drives hardware-wise. This is not true for yours.

@Rabbi , bro, my laptop has an e-Sata port. If I have an iHas124 B Writer can I connect the writer to the notebook using a SATA to e-SATA converter? Is that available in IDB?

that would work but u may need to provide the power externally. It would be better if u can get an external sata hard drive usb enclossure to connect that ihas drive to ur notebook. Yeah, u can find all these in idb.

hi guys.....so i bought a ihas524b and used it to burn skyrim on melody disk. it burnt 100% without any error massage. iso was 8.6GB. i burnt it for lt+2, but there is no reason it shouldn't work on lt+3 if u patch it before burning. so in short, the ihas524b burners available here works and so does cheap melody disks. no need to spend on expensive mitsubishi or verbatim disk or go to SOF or hakim vi. both ihs524b and melody disk is available at IDB.
