Using USB mic isn't uncommon for recording podcasts and that Blue Snowball USB mic isn't be a bad choice for recording podcasts but remember this is a condenser mic like most budget mics in the market, and condenser mics are more sensitive to noise than dynamic mics so you can expect background noise in vocal. For non-professional work I guess there are some headphones w/ mic available in the market that'll do the job and should be less expensive but you might have to deal with the background noise issue probably even more than a USB mic.
I'm no expert in audio engineering but I can tell you that professional or even many amateur podcasts that we listen use quality XLR mic w/ audio interface that has good preamp so without investing on some good audio hardware it will be tough to get very good output. However the Blue Snowball will still yield good result, you may try to use vst plugins on your DAW to reduce some noise from your recording and see if you can manage to get a pop filter for it.
