4k TV as Monitor

i am considering to buy a 4k tv to use as monitor. i am concerned about the mouse lag.
the tv works at 30Hz @4k and 60Hz @2k
my question is, if i use the tv at 2k to get 60Hz, will the mouse still lag?

2K @60hz should perform good enough for gaming as long as there is a Gaming mode/preset built into the tv.
