IMO, if you are not overclocking for every config delta 550w is sufficient. Price 6.5k.

I will say to u to buy Xfx 650W for being futureproof if itz available to market.Itz also better than Delta.Price will be like 8.5k-9k.If u cant afford this Delta is the only option left.

future cards such as radeon 7xxx series and keeplar r energy efficient cards... I don't c a reason to go for a 650w psu at the moment... 550w is enough..

    Option 8 definitely

TDP of 7970 is abt 210w.So itz nt safe running it with psu lyk delta 550w.Bt yeah if itz in between his options it will be ok.Most important part is that he didnt mentiond his budget.Thn all questns will be cleard.

thnx a lot guys but i am in a tight budget here.... psu calculator of coolermaster or thermaltake website showed me i need max 400-430watt with (phenom II x4 + gtx 460 ) and max 360-390watt with (athlon II x2 + gtx 460 ).
Are their calculations have some error?Do they show lesser wattage than actual? Can i go for any psu that gives 430-450watt or i cant?
If i can... then pliz answer following query

    1)Is TT TR2 bronze 500watt available in BD market?Price?

2)Is TT Smart 530watt available in BD market?Price?

    3)Price of Delta 500watt?

    ---------- Post added at 15:01 ---------- Previous post was at 14:53 ----------

My initial budget is 5k but perhaps i can expand it upto 6k
And i am not going to upgrade beyond (phenom II x4 + hd 5850) so no need to be future proof.Actually i am going to have (athlon II x2 +5850) or (athlon II x2+ gtx 460).

Recently PSU'r onek shortage BD market eh.
I dont know what is a good PSU for you guys, but for me over 18A @ 12v means a good PSU since ami SLI, XFIRE, DUAL-GPU prefer kori na. For me Thermaltake TR2 is really bogus. (Dont knw about TR2 RX) It gives 15A @ 12V, same as Chinese stock casing ones. Delta 550watt gives 16A @ 12v.

Elephant road erh ekta shop eh ekta PSU dekhsilam Compro. Gives 20A @ 12V. But since its a chinese brand, trust kora jae na.

Jodi market eh Thermaltake XT 575watt ta thakto tahole nitam. But chilo na. Ekhon ashche kina jani na.
Another thing I look for in a PSU is whether its 80PLUS, means whether its 80% efficient. 80PLUS PSU's last longer than regular PSUs.

XFX PSU's are good. But rare nowadays. Delta PSU 750watt 13k chaisilo. Binary Logic maybe BG member der interest notice kore PSU's dam barae dise. 750watt PSU which is only 80PLUS certified, no bronze capacitors, 18A @ 12v, 13k is unfair.

And i am not going to upgrade beyond (phenom II x4 + hd 5850) so no need to be future proof.Actually i am going to have (athlon II x2 +5850) or (athlon II x2+ gtx 460).
their calculations don't have any error but the process of recommending psu by combined wattage is far ideal. what those calculators do is pretty simple, just adding the TDP's of the entire components + extra 60/70W...these calculators won't give you any clear idea for making a decision. Tr2 bronze/smart probably not available. get delta 500/550w...another thing is that 5850/gtx460 will be bottlenecked much on a athlon iiX2......

750watt PSU which is only 80PLUS certified, no bronze capacitors, 18A @ 12v, 13k is unfair.
seems like you don't have any idea about multiple +12v rail.its why you are saying that tr2 RX/delta 550w have 15/16A on +12v rail!!!

Actually I dont. :S I dont get the rail thing. It means extra cables right? Each 12V rail provides 18A for the Delta 750watt?
