My sister's Galaxy S4 screen broke. Only the glass cracked, LCD and digitizer works perfectly fine. Samsung's official repair center asking for 18k to replace the glass+digitizer+LCD, but only 500tk if I can provide the glass+digitizer+LCD assembly.
My sister actually went ahead and repaired it from a small shop for a very cheap price. But the glass or the glue they used was terrible, and half of the glass got delaminated and just broke off clean. Now only half of the screen has glass on it (partially delaminated) and the rest has exposed digitizer, which still works perfectly.
So guys, I need suggestions on how to repair it. Should I get the countless replacement glass/kits available, and use proper UV glue to laminate it? For example, using
this kit? I can try to do it myself or find a shop that can do this properly, if the quality of this glass and glue is enough to get a good result.
Or is there a way to get the genuine glass+digitizer+LCD assembly? My sister is willing to spend up to 6-8k if the display can be repaired close to the original state.
