Hey guys, I'll sell my X10 soon. Here are the details:
Product: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i HD
Accessories: Everything that came with the box, SE earphone/extension/charger/usb cable/8GB mSD card & I'll throw in a plastic back cover so that it doesn't get scratched.
Usage: That would be around 5months in total, I bought the phone around March/April. I always kept it in my room, I was robbed once when returning home from Dhanmondi at 10-11PM, since then I've been extra careful. The set was left unused for quite a while, it was used as an mp3 player for the most part & also for viewing youtube videos via WiFi & playing Nintendo games, haha.
Condition: It's almost pristine. My sister used it for a few days, but it's impeccable. I used it with a lot of care & cleaned it like almost everyday.
Android OS Info: Originally it came with Android 2.1 (Eclair), hence the name X10 HD- where the HD stands for the upgraded screen from the original X10 that came with Android 1.6 (Donut). SE officially released Android GingerBread (2.3.3) in August, & the global X10 2.3.3 update which came a few days later. As some of you might know, SE Android devices are not vanilla, & as such X10 is not an exception to that ritual. It comes with a customized SE UXP (UI), with the Timescape UI, SE removed the Mediascape UI which was present in 2.1, but there are a lot more addons in 2.3.3
- 4' screen- 480 x 854 pixels, 4.0 inches (~245 ppi pixel density), TFT display
- 1GHz Snapdragon Scorpion Processor
- 1GB ROM / 384MB RAM
- Adreno 200 GPU
- QSD 8250 Snapdragon chipset, QSD8xxx familiy
- 8MP Camera- 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash (with ISO adjustment)
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot
- mSD support up to 32GB, 8GB included
Camera: The 8MP camera takes some amazing shots in lovely lighted conditions, thought it's average in low light. But nonetheless, I've taken some amazing shots with the X10 in bright day light.
Bootloader Status: The guys over at XDA had a tough time unlocking the security encryption for unlocking the bootloader & finally they succeeded after a very long time. It's fully unlocked now, allowing unsigned kernels to be loaded with a load of different functionality over the stock kernel. Also allowing a range of custom ROMs to be installed on the phone, on the 1GB rom. Variety of MIUI, CM7, & stock based ROMs are already available for the X10 over at XDA, Modaco etc.
Official Support Status: SE said 2.3.3 (GingerBread) will be the last of what the X10 will see, very generous of SE to upgrade their 1st Android device to GingerBread which is currently the base for all popular Android phones. There are rumors though of SE giving 4.0 ICS (IceCream Sandwich) to the X10, the rumors came from the very sources which predicted the 2.3.3 update for the X10 which came true in August. So I've my hopes up there.
Custom ROMs: There are already working ports of exclusive features which are only found on the 2011 line of devices working on the X10, for e.g: Bravia Engine, xLOUD. A whole load of MIUI ROMs are flooding in the XDA Android Development page, beautiful stock based ROMs & finally official CM7 support from FXP- Free Xperia Project (Official partner of CyanogenMOD for the X10 family & SE 2011 devices)
Oh & there's a preliminary working port of Android 4.0 ICS on X10, though it's still at Alpha, I hope there will be a fully working 4.0 ROM for the X10. Another good news is that, FXP has dedicated its support to include all the SE 2011 devices & only the 2010 device: X10 for the CM9 support which should be coming out in the following months. CM9 = CyanogenMOD 9 based on ICS.
Market Price: It was 29K, when I bought the phone, dont know about the current price
