xcross bhai.. what are you talking about?

anyway... afaik there are ATLEAST 4 diemensions... 3 space dimensions and 1 time dimensions... humans cannot possibly imagin a 4th spacial dimension as we are live in a 3rd world.. and if there are higher spacial dimensions then its not atm possible to proove its existence or have anything to do with anything.. but onke jei dimension er kotha boltesi oita tou physical na sheita thik.. like n dimensional matrix ase .. or onek equation like wave equations afaik n-dimensional bhabe lekha jay.. anyway.. important thing is 4 dimensions are there and thats for sure.. there is now way to separately look at them because space-time is a continuous 'fabric' .. and space or time isnt absolue either.. as long as the "event" in space time stay in the same place space or time coordinates can change..

    Well from what I know...
    1st dimension = forward backward
    2nd dimension = right left
    3rd dimension = up down

    Or is it... :S

Default Re: Particle accelerator = ?!?!?!

    time is the 4th dimension.
in physics and mathematics, a sequence of N numbers can be understood to represent a location in an N-dimensional space. when N=5, the space consisting of all such locations is called the fifth dimension.

Theories such as string theory and M-theory predict that physical space in general has in fact 10 and 11 dimensions, respectively. The extra dimensions are spacelike. We perceive only three spatial dimensions, and no physical experiments have confirmed the reality of additional dimensions. A possible explanation that has been suggested is that space is as it were "curled up" in the extra dimensions on a subatomic scale, possibly at the quark/string level of scale or below.

I suggest you guys to study string theory in wikipedia. I first got to know about it in the discovery channel and found it very amusing.
