Asus Zenphone 2 ZE550ML seems to be a decent phone with good specification. However Huawei honor 4x recently got my attention which has really impressive specification as well. Zenphone 2 ZE550ML is around 18K and Huawei honor 4x is around 20K, although I'm not sure about the warranty for Asus phones but Huawei phones have 1 year warranty in our country.

Huawei honor 4x comes with Android 4.4.2 but Android 5.0 upgrade is already available for it and I've read that it is on the list of the phones which will get Android 6.0 update. Unfortunately only the HiSilicon Kirin 620 version is available here instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) version but I still think it is a decent phone.

Get the ASUS Zenfone or Huawei honor. don't go for Xiaomi mainly because they're just evil and steal codes&designs left and right. the mi4 is still good given it's price though.

Either go with Asus Zenfone 2 (Zenfone 2 laser costs around 17k) or Xaomi Mi4 C(might be slightly out of your budget but worth buying).

Or you can take a look at the Moto G too.

I wasn't suggesting 2nd gen. 3rd gen can be had for cheaper.

And about your suggestion, those China's brands always have bad battery issues despite having big batteries, slow android updates and heavy customisation leads to eventual slowdown etc etc

Well can't say I heard the same about Xiaomi, these are good phones in a way. 2nd gen is understandably cheap but not 3rd gen. That's a whole different ball

zenfone 2 with intel soc: ultra bad battery performance, super dim display but good dev support
zenfone 2 with spandragon: almost same hw including camera except soc but almost no dev support
xiaomi : good internal hw sometimes bad build, almost no dev support (broken kernel source)
huawei: good buld and moderate level of dev depending on the popularity model
moto g 3rd gen: good build good dev support moderate hw modarate display (kind of dull)

i really appreciate dev support because that makes night and day difference between performance make phone the way it should be. its my choice though others might emphasize on different criteria

Using an Xiaomi Mi4i and I will say around 30k Samsung phone looked crappy to me after using this. Performance is Awesome. Best part is the camera though!!! Also update is bit slow, but Mi4i already in 5.0.2 and Mi4c is 5.1.1. Mi4c is their latest release.

BTW how come ur bro get Mi4 at 17K?? @Trave160 Its Price is 25.7k at GadgetGang.

Also for them who saying those and that I will just say one thing: USE IT BEFORE U SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!! Samsung is also stealing from Apple. But Samsung is nice and where Xiaomi giving that phone at half price its STILL GOOD??? Just WOW....

You can buy a Huawei Honor4c/G Play Mini at around 15-16k. Pretty good phone for low budget. Also has 2 GB ram. Battery is ok. Gives pretty decent backup.

Buy Moto G 3rd Gen. I got bored using the same Android version for years(Thanks to Samsung). Motorola Updates regularly and their phones are overall awesome.
