Default How to move dota 2 from 1 pc to another?

Need some help over here please.

    Case 1.

I downloaded DotA 2. Played a game and then i thought i should install steam in my games drive as i like my C drive as clean as possible. How do i do it without redownloading DotA 2?

    Case 2.

I gave two of my friends the extra keys. Is there any way they can copy DotA 2 and play? If "yes" then how?

now, when u guys were into team fortress i heard something like "copy and paste in the right place" kinda stuff. PLz shed some light on this.

Its just [EB]. Not Elite B[a]stard or anything like that.

There's a feature named 'Backup and Restore' in Steam. This can be achieved with either that function or a folder junction link in windows.

For the latter, you need to create a directory junction. More details at http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/

they say that I can copy the Steamapps folder and paste in different PC/drives.

Could anyone upload the steamapps folder WITHOUT any games?

I have DOtA 2 downloaded and i thought i can play just by pasting the game.. well guess what? i made a fool out of me. Now either i have to download the whole game although i have it, or i can try this one last thingy.. "replacing steamapps folder".

    -.-

Only if i saw that backup function before uninstalling steam. ;s

You basically can. Another way of doing it is thru the backup function, which lets you backup specific titles instead of the entire thing.
