Default Logitech Z906 or Anything Else? Kindly Suggest

    Hello All !

I was planning to buy a Logitech Z906 for my PC that has a Creative SB-Z installed in it. So I plunged through the internet to find every single word typed on this speaker including ofcourse, the Logitech Forum. Along with that forum there are a handful number of users of this model who have expressed their valuable experience of facing almost identical issues of getting 'Erratic Console behavior (mostly with Aux LED & 5th Input LED both are lit up with no access to the system)'. While I agree that it is normal for any electronic hardware to malfunction for various reasons, I am also scared to the fact that the Console Failure issue can take place as early as 3 Days from purchase to 1/2 Years !!!!!

this is important for me because if I get the speaker from Computersource Ltd. & even if the issue arises within the warrenty period, it would be a real tragedy to start an Olympic Sprint (!) between my home & Computersource Service centre bearing a near 16KG product ..... So if you own the speaker please share your experience, pros & cons, and ofcourse if you have a suggestion. Your expressions will be helping me to make my purchase decision so YES! it is that much important.

THAT IS ALL I HAD TO SAY! Thanks for reading !!!

well i don't own z906 but i own it's predecessor z5500.i know u do not have many option other than buying this specific model bcoz boss 2.1 premium will cost a fortune over z906.but,consider these things before buying:
    # no led display
    # the sub-woofer exhaust is right side

i believe computer source will give u 2 years warranty.
the only issue that i had with my z5500 suddenly after cold start(power on after a long time) no sound comes out.

Thank You for Your valuable reply. I would not have any problem with LED console panel though. I also read about the real beast of yours (Z5500) but since it is practically imposible to get a new set, the Z906 will be my only option once (or IF) the dust of my fear settles...
