    Test Environment & Equipment

    Mainboard
    MSI 990FXA GD80

    Processor
    Phenom-II 955BE @3.2GHz (stock)

    Cooler
    CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ (1 fan, BladeMaster @2000RPM)

    Graphics Card
    Gigabyte GTX460 OC

    Memory
    A-Data 4GB DDR3 XPG 1600 @1333MHz (underclocked)

    Power Supply Unit
    ThermalTake Toughpower 600W

I'm so happy right now, the PC is virtually silent. It was still yesterday when the stock AMD cooler was whining at 7000RPM sounding like a jet. I had a bit of hiccup, installing the CM Hyper onto my board.Sadly, I had to install the cooler with an "updraft" position.

The universal bracket fitted in a vertical position unlike the horizontal postion with Intel setups. But to my surprise, it works just as good with only one fan installed, the default- BladeMaster, at idle the fans spin at 600RPM which is dead silent!

Another surprise was that, my cheap casing- A Thermaltake Dokker, had a cut out for installing after market coolers such as mine. It saved me a lot of trouble of having to take the motherboard out & install the brackets & such.Anyone looking to buy the Hyper 212+, beware that there might be spacing problems if a high performance RAM is installed, for e.g: a Corsair Vengeance/G.Skill RipjawsX module, though this ought to be the case with the horizontal position, I can be wrong- this is just my assessment on installing it on my setup. Since I own a pair of XPG modules, I didn't have such problems.

I'll try to post some pictures, & maybe create a log for OCing my 955BE, I bought the BE for a reason Now I'm just waiting for two high performance fans, to pair it with the 212!

Stock AMD cooler temperature were, IDLE- 45C, LOAD- 65-70C (with Prime), & 80C (IBT) This happened cuz I didn't reapply thermal paste after changing my board & I didn't want to install the AMD cooler myself (which is a pain in the ¤¤¤), so I had it done by a UCC guy! xD

And all these days, the CPU cooler was hanging lose, so I don't know what temps I would have gotten if it were fitted properly!
