Default It Seems Ryans has come back to their senses

The Sapphire R9 380 has received a significant price drop in Ryan's Computers from 25k to 20k!

    http://www.ryanscomputers.com/Sapphire-NIT-7210

So does this make this the cheapest new 380 you can get in bd?

Yes, it does make it the cheapest. But wouldn't it be better to get it officially from GIGABYTE with warranty at 21.8k ? But still yeah, it seems it is the cheapest at BD. Although last month GameBaba (on FB) was selling units of XFX R9 380 at 17.5 or 18.5k I think, that WAS the cheapest in BD, although it carried no warranty as it was imported.

I wouldn't mind spending 2k more.. Is the gigabyte version any better than sapphire? Also this does have a 2year warranty included.

You will have a tough time claiming warranty from Ryans. Moreover, I suspect they sell refurbished products.

I don't. I read a number of negative reviews from BG members a few years back.

It's similar, the GIGABYTE one is very slightly faster, but it's pretty much the same thing in performance, but one cool thing is they also include a back plate which you often don't see on low-mid range GPUs. And you get 2 years warranty officially from GIGABYTE.

If buying AMD, Sapphire's regarded as one of their best or if not the best maker of their FOC cards. just like EVGA is with Nvidia. Other brands are almost same in performance though, but they aren't exclusive like Sapphire and evga are.

Yes, but there's the warranty with GIGABYTE one.

True, I had trouble with their warranty policy and stopped buying from them.

He said the sapphire one has 2 years warranty as well. i don't see any reasoning getting a 20k amd card for 2k more instead of getting Sapphire or even XFX

Okay, I didn't read that Ryans one had warranty but as @Franklin and redwan hasan pointed out, one might have tough time getting warranty from Ryans. Also there is no XFX in BD, but there is no problem with getting Sapphire if there's warranty, here brand isn't the issue, but I was more worried about the seller (Ryans) due to warranty. If there is warranty then he should go ahead and get Sapphire for getting it cheaper, although some pointed out that they were unsatisfied with Ryans' warranty policies.

Well yeah, if Ryan's the store is shady then it's best to avoid it, but if you come across a Sapphire 380 for 20k(with warranty), then definitely get that instead of any other brand 1-2k more.

I get that, I do know Sapphire is the most reputed AMD GPU brand (like EVGA is to Nvidia) and it'd be better to get an AMD card from Sapphire

How come people blaming Ryans, they don't import anything so it's not their responsibility to provide warranty. They send the products to distributor(UCC in this case) for claiming warranty.

Ryans is the Biggest store in IDB, so they are bound to have a few unsatisfied customer. And their service got better recently. They even have a separate service center now.

Ryans don't have low prices. Except in this case, but usually UCC's website isn't updated frequently, so it might be the case that UCC lowered the price but still hasn't updated their website.

Ryans is actually a giant. They buy products in mass quantities hence the importers are forced to give them good rates.
