Smile Curious about Qubee's recent behavior

    Hi!
I am very curious about why recently qubee started selling like insane? They seem to be in rush mode to increase their customer base
    as much as possible.

They put up mobile/temporary sales booth everywhere, and giving a lot of goodies and too good to be true
offers only to the new customers. There hadn't been any good offers or changes for the old customers though.
Some of the old offers say that they have a free email service included with every account as well which is non-existent
as of writing this post. I am very curious about what triggered this strange sale-as-many-as-we-can behavior.

There aren't many improvements and their billing system is completely a mess, but still they are taking every steps to
raise their customer base with tempting offers, recently I came across an offer of free laptop bag with every new connection.
What's the matter? Is something wrong in there? I mean c'mon I have seen commercial dogs, but this is way beyond the ordinary.
Now I can't just call in and ask their customer reps, but I am dying to know whats happening.

Back in starting days of qubee, they refused huge number of customers just because the signal reception were not good enough
or they weren't sure if that area will receive any network upgrade, almost every sale was tested. Now, you just buy,and the rest is your
    headache.

    Thanks!
[Note: No troll war or flaming please, just real facts which you know or received from trusted sources.]

But this can't be a reason as it only started four to five months back, ollo was non-existent then and blion totally sucked at that time.
Why would a company want to increase its customer base all of a sudden other than the reason of weak competition??
Qubee had also contributed greatly on raising banglalion package prices(FYI if you didn't know who to send your 'gali glaz' at).
Customers should also consider old-sheep problem, they should notice that only great offers are for new registration, after that get
binded to a lot of pain(incorrect billing, frequent phone calls from customer care about silly things, etc).

I hate it when a perfectly good and efficient service provider goes all commercial beyond the limit.

Hurricane Electric is a tier 2 network, aka a large ISP who provides connectivity to regional ISPs. Kinda like Mango, if you want to compare except far, far larger. Peering wise, I think it's the 3rd or 4th ranking network worldwide. That BGP lookup tool is just a service they provide.

Just bought an Ollo for BDT.2475. They kind of follow the apple way of "keep it simple yet fully functional". Instead of using username and password, mac address is everything. I am using this dongle with my home PC and a friend's PC,seems to work out of the box. Just install the CM and you'll be connected.
Be warned that,if someone steals your dongle and use it,you'll be billed for it(unless you call 'em and explain),as the dongle itself is the username and password.

My experience so far: lowest speed achieved 74KB/s,highest 158KB/s with a mostly stable median of 115KB/s. CINR stays between 25 and 30.I am located in Babor Road,Mohammadpur. What impressed me most is that, the form despite being same as other providers only needed a few basic info and was filled by the delivery guy. The problem is,my HDD is only 38GB so even if I have 40GB(less the upload data volume) I can't use it well enough.
If you run out of 40GB before the official launch, then drop 'em an email or call their customer care unit to add more data to your account for FREE. If any data is left after official launch, then that will be merged with your package allowance.

Billing is a bit different, you don't go to banks or specific shops to pay bill or buy cards, you go to one of the specific (so far 3000) banglalink iTopUP shops, give your ID and appropriate amount to pay, you'll be confirmed immediately. So far they have no plan to introduce bank based or shop based or card based bill payment so iTopUP is the only way.Don't get confused though, any large(Fairly) banglalink iTopUP shop will be able to accept your bill. This could be a pain initially to hunt down which one is present in your area, but once you know, you'll be paying bill and recharging your Blink account.

BTW,if any of you are interested to buy an Ollo subscription,do drop me an email at embd[at]me[dot]com with your contact number and address.I'll arrange a home drop for you. Please keep a copy of any photo identity card(any of these will suffice : student id,university id,passport, driver's license, gun license, office id etc) with two passport sized photographs. The delivery dude will check the signal and suggest if you are eligible to buy it or not.Unless you are too far from the coverage or your CINR is staying below 10,you can buy it. You'll be shown a immediate speed test if you want.

Spoiler: After 48hours of initial purchase,a technical team might visit your home to perform various tests and collect performance data(bit of a hassle),if you don't feel comfortable with it,please inform Ollo to cancel the test, but it is recommended to allow it as it will be used to decide if more towers are required in that area or if its possible to provide better speed and various other factors.

    Thanks!
