Default please help me making a gaming configuration

i want to buy a gaming pc but iv limited budget... so i want to make the most of it. iv several questions 1st,

    1. is overclocking processor is that much needed for gaming?
    2. if i take core i5 2400 which grafix card should i buy to make the most of it?
    3. should i go for expensive gaming casing and power supply?
    4. does any standerd ram with 1333 bus speed would satisfy? (8gb)

if overclocking is no that much needed then i would like to go for the following configuration-

    -Processor- core i5 2400
-RAM 1333 bus ddr-3 8gb(suggest me brand name)
-MB msi H61 chip or H67 (which 1 should i get?)
-graphics card- suggest me please(please understand i want to unlock the maximum potential if i5 with lowest possible price)
    -suggest me a ideal casing
    -and a power supply

my budget is 45k +-(only for the above mentioned components) please let me know if you have a better configuration then me... thnx

You don't really need a 'gaming' case, just get a big one with enough room for airflow. This doesn't mean that you have to get one with 4x120mm intake fans. Don't cheap on the PSU though. Delta 500W is good enough for single GPU PCs.

8GB RAM is relative, I would never build a PC without 8GB, but you might not need more than 4GB. So you could start off with 4GB and then move to 8GB if the need arises.

If you want to overclock then get a P67 MOBO instead, but those might not be available so you might have to end up spending more and getting a Z68. And of course you need a K series processor, cheapest one, and the best for any budget gaming PCs, is the 2500K. Buy that and OC it to 4.5ghz

    Something Like this
    -Processor- core i5 2400-16k
    -RAM- 1333 bus ddr3 4gb-2k
    -MOBO- H61 -5~6k
    -graphics card- ECS Gtx 560-16k
-casing- Big Casing with 2/3 fans-2~3k
    -power supply- Delta 500w-6k
    Total- ~47k

i would really loved to get a 2500k. here are the reasons why i wouldn't.
    1. iv have to spend more on the motherboard... P67 is almost 3 times expensive then h61 or even h67. even the 2500k is more costly than 2400(i dont know exactly how much)
    2. iv read somewhere that processor overclocking does not increase performance that much for gaming, rather GPU overclocking is more effective.

another thing!!! can u specify why i dont need 8 GB ram? is it because iv chosen i5 2400? im new please help me understand.

please tell me if im wrong, u know my budget constrain (i may spend highest 50k)

For most games GPU overclocking yields better results but there are games which massively benefit from a CPU overclock. Like Witcher 2, BF3 etc.

8GB RAM has nothing to do with your choice of processor. It depends on how many applications you have running all the time, and how often you restart your PC. Like for me right after windows boots up, my RAM usage is usually ~1.5GB and crosses 2GB after ~2hours of use. So my PC would start feeling sluggish if I had 4GB of RAM.

Don't be pressured by these things though, 50k for CPU alone is a very good budget. And at the end of the day you are getting a gaming PC, so your GPU has the utmost priority. Get a CPU which will not bottleneck your GPU, any i5 is enough for that. And as for GPU, don't get anything less than a 6850 or equivalent. By the way, you didn't mention what resolution you game at.

My specs are just like yours.
I did not have to buy the casing and so put in more money to buy the Radeon 6870.

The i5-2400 is a good processor. Im really happy with it.
My rig is just for gaming so 4 gigs is enough.
Think about what other things you might do with the pc.

so u r saying that the more ram i hav the more sluggish my pc will be- after a long time use, right?
im a musician and planning to buy a UX2 sound card worth 12k. so doing heavy recording stuff is another point. but hearing u guyz initially 4 GB might be just enough. becoz my 1st priority is gaming.

i hav a old CRT 17 inch monitor... so i think i dont hav the luxury to play in very high resolution... but iv hav plan to hav a lcd later with minimum 21.5 inch in the future. so 1st i want to build my cpu then later on get an LCD. and watching reviews i think GTX 560 is better then HD 6850. but last 2 GPUs iv bought was nvidia and both were dead after certain long period of time. the 1st GPU iv bought was gforce 4 gts 4200 128mb with 16k in 2002. other 1 was geforce 8500 gt 1GB in 2007. both were dead after 3/4 years of use . so is there any HD which may match the price and performance of GTX 560?

No no no! thats not what I meant!. Amar PC matro 1.5 months hoise kinsi so its not related to long time usage. It depends on how many applications you keep running at the same time. Apni age 4GB e kinen, pore jodi mone hoi je slow lagtese tahole LCD kinar shomoi e kine felen aro 4GB.

And make sure you get a monitor with at least 1920x1080 resolution, nahole GPU ta pura waste hobe. Btw, apni ki UPS kintesen naki ase akta?
