    Default Portable, good design laptops?

My ancient old macbook Air i think is almost dead, the screen randomly goes off and when i had it checked at a store, they said i'd probably have to replace the screen, but the screen it self costs more than buying a new one (it's half a decade old).

So really looking for a light laptop with very good looks/design. performance wise does not matter much really since it's just for taking notes at uni and browsing the web when out.

5 laptops that look good are the new macbook 12inch 2015, Lenovo Lavie Z, HP elitebook Folio 10, Thinkpad X1 Carbon, lenovo's new yoga

So which one of these is in your opinion better? or are there any other laptops that fit the criteria? or any coming soon? (buying one before thanksgiving) so the maximum time i can wait for a new release is before the end of November. TIY

You could look at Asus Zenbooks else I hear Lenovo are the boss Windows based laptops. So Carbon would be awesome. But I doubt you can get them here in BD.

Availability isn't an issue, i can get it if they sell it somewhere, just can't decide really. and yeah Zenbooks seem really good so does lenovo, precisely why it's so difficult to choose. i like the UX501 a lot, but it's far too heavy :/

If you can afford then MacBook would be best option for these kind of activities
You can use boot Windows easily with BootCamp
So you will have the best of both worlds

Macbook's actually the least expensive one among the 5 i mentioned. don't need to dual boot, i just need it for university notes & surfing while im outside so just needs to be extremely light and good looking! It's just that the other 4 are also equally good so it's REALLY hard to choose. and i need to buy one within november so it's not like i can wait till skylake M version of these

Pardon me for being persistent but in this case none of the other can beat Macbook
But do wait for other suggestions before buying

I know it's good, two of my sisters have one each but like i haven't actually seen/used the other ones in person (except for the yoga one) so can't really decide without seeing how good the others are! plus the lenovo lavie one is almost half the weight of macbook and at below 1kg.
