^ facepalm, oitar ase. Their analogue circuitry should be similar but IMO both default opamps on the cards are quite harsh as I recommended before a fiio E9 with your current card will be better and has loads more power than STX or any sound card at that matter heck the E9 can even drive the likes of HD650 with power to spare

The Fiio E9 would be on the expensive side as then I can't sell my current card to get that so was considering a titanium HD & later on another HP amp.

Anyhow both the essence stx and HD wont have nearly enough power to boot for low sens headphones anyway and the amp section as reported by other head-fi members are that its not nearly as good as other dedicated amps like the E9 unless the opamps are swapped.

Besides I dont think you need an amp as your DJ750 are high sens low impedance phones :S.

Awesome, the traditional HDDs are such a bottleneck to the whole system . Price on amazon now is $120 but when I bought it it was ~$160

Thats a P43T-USB3, 2nd build. Watercooling plans cancelled due to not having anyone to bring it for me, so sticking to a Frio.
I was looking at a better pair of headphones though. Might bring something.
