    Default Need help buying GPU

Hey Guys! I am considering buying a new Graphics card, so I was hoping that you guys would help me out with which graphics card to buy. I would like to play the latest games especially Battlefield 3 as well as upcoming MW3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim etc. I read in a article that you can play Battlefield 3 at High settings with GTX 560 ti. So what do you guys think?

And by the way, do I need a new PSU for the new GPU? Currently I have Thermaltake 420W PSU. My configuration is: Intel Core i7 870 2.93 GHz, Intel DH55TC Motherboard, 4GB RAM, GPU (Current): XFX Nvidia 8600GT (I know it's ancient!!!), 1 TB Samsung HDD. And try to keep it within 25K or 30K price range including the PSU if necessary. If possible please suggest names of good shops from where I can buy it.

So if you guys have any suggestions for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yup you're gonna need a new and pretty good PSU for running GTX 560ti. Though I heard 560ti isn't available in BD now. Gigabyte ones were available but maybe stock finished. So if you find Gigabyte GTX 560ti can go for these:
    Gigabyte GTX 560ti OC Edition @ ~22K (http://www.bdstall.com/listingDetail/index/4865/)
    XFX Pro 650W @ 8.5K
Otherwise you can also go for ASUS GTX 560(Non Ti). This one is also a very good card. Cost almost 20K(Star Solutions as long I can remember).

Ohh ... one thing again. If you're going for the gigabyte one check this:
I dont know whether people are still facing prob with this OC version of gigabyte but heard lots of guys faced prob with this one. You may find some post in this forum also. So consult with anyone good with these stuffs(I ain't no pro ). Good luck ...

Thanks for the suggestion. And by the way you're right, 560ti isn't available in IDB or Multiplan.

Anyway which graphics card do you guys think will play Battlefield 3 at ultra or high settings at 1360x768 resolution? I know EA recommends GTX 560 Ti for high or GTX 580 for ultra, but I will be playing at 1360x768 resolution which is the maximum for my monitor & I actually prefer it over big displays. Now considering my configuration which I stated above, which GPU do you think will be the best fit? How about GTX 550 Ti? I read in a forum that it played Battlefield 3 Beta at ultra-settings at 1360x768. Also keep in mind that the GPU should be able to play the upcoming games like MW3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim etc. relatively well at high settings. And please suggest GPUs other than GTX 590, 580, 570 etc. which to me are a little overkill at 1360x768. So should I go for GTX 550Ti, GTX 560, GTX 560Ti (is there a big difference between 560 & 560Ti at 1360x768?) or something else, like ATI maybe? I really appreciate any suggestion. Thanks.

@bluenight 1st of all welcome to BG Second, your monitor resolution is relatively low a Gtx 550ti might play BF3 ultra @1360x768 but your budget is high so a hd6850+delta 500w psu will do just fine. Price hd 6850~15k; Delta 500w~5.8k.If you plan to go up in the resolution you can get Gtx 560+delta 500w.
